polling shows that, yes R true believers are “awful” but a LOT of that awfulness driven by RW media in service to richies, and moods shift when theoretical fascism moves to actual-“I didn’t think the leopards…”

I think we need to start realizing that the true “polarization” of american politics is wealthy/poor more than right/left—the 2nd division is mainly driven (on purpose) by the first division 1/

It is amazing-full court press from media/DNC leadership/RNC leadership/guest op ed richies/etc---you realize the degree to which 1) they would rather burn NYC to the ground than let a progressive try stuff, 2) how much they DON'T do this with the tidal wave of WAY MORE ASININE Trump incompetence

the mamdani thing is showing you how limited the range of acceptable opinions actually is in america. republicans can be a stone's throw away from endorsing genocide and thats fine but one guy goes slightly to the left of dem party orthodoxy and we're right in the middle of soviet russia

every freaking time a progressive wins (especially one of color) the doomsday screeching of elite media and financial interests is deafening, and then…no doomsday ever happens

At this point, the Democratic base has observed that their party's brass puts more effort into fighting people like Sanders, AOC, Hogg, and Mamdani than they do into fighting Trump. The party's open contempt for its electorate has been on full display for a while, and it's being returned in kind.

you are right, now convince the 60% of the American public that pay no attention to anything-have no idea the LA ICE cop riots happened, have no idea that T attacked Iran, have no idea what vaccines are how they work---enough of these to actually coordinate the type of opposition of which you speak

and when dad makes a bunch of poor decisions (like going 20,000 in debt for an approval buying spree, then being late on rent because of it)-“Mom, you’re not going to let dad lose his house are you?!”
