Merging quarter life crisis into midlife crisis. Loving literature and non-fiction equally. Much better in person than online. Fiercely cynical outwardly as a defense and cure for the uncomfortable truth that everything happens how it will.

Consciousness is the only thing there is, it is a field, and humans have been writing about it using one or another name for the concept since writing was invented.

Do you have the first iPad ever made or wtf is going on with you? I have to go to great lengths to have mine not auto update and it’s like 4 years old.

It already ended perfectly when the reader performed reluctant cannibalism by revisiting (for the first time) the room in the middle of town and eating the corpse of the trilogy and then the rest of the book was slam poetry with Tourette’s. Sorry Jeff I was taught author’s intent doesn’t matter. ❤️

It’s really an indictment of the people noticing my bad behavior when you think about it.

Some people have a transformative experience doing something and then their brain breaks a little bit and they attribute it to something that had nothing to do with it (like audio fidelity).

As for the being paid to go. Columbus famously has a large convention center. I was paid to go there.

Oh yeah no prob there’s some unspoken context. (In my opinion and in my limited experience) people who live in Columbus, Ohio have no interest in anyone else. The word terminally is usually used for a disease that will kill you but in this case I’m using it hyperbolically (exaggerating).

We have congress at home.

You’re not wrong but sometimes the insight is how people different from you tell a story or a different way to think about things that sucks but resonates with enough people to exist. It’s easy to want to optimize life to remove friction but that ironically generates more bad stories.

People there are terminally disinterested in other people. You couldn’t pay me to go there again (they paid me the first time).

The powers that be had to pull the strings to breed your beard out of existence because you can’t sell products to someone without issues.

All my posts are full grain.

You’re so close to realizing allowing the monopolization of power and violence in the hands of the state is a mistake no matter who is in charge.

I’m out here every day negging the ruling class as hard as possible as if they are reading my posts and will be embarrassed into acting right but it’s not working as well as people with nothing else to do meeting up outside in the 70’s to complain with signs.

Used to be everyone would have a fucked up voice. Now only the very rich and powerful have a fucked up voice. They don’t want you to know you have a choice.

I saw someone ask if chive cream cheese would be good on a pita chip. I’ve seen someone buy something at ALDI and ask a Facebook group if it’s good before they make it. Idk what the thinking is there. People must be lonely. We need to bring face to face stuff back maybe.

No reason to believe things will get better after this administration no matter what anyone realizes. There’s no undo button. Rebuilding the govt will be expensive and painful to the public, and since we don’t think long term anymore it means we’ll have the same ideas back 4-8 years later.

How is not showing up to something very public where you have a high chance of being mildly embarrassed publicly but also a high public expectation to be there cowardly? I swear to god if you come back with another fake Socratic method response I’m going to put a hex on you.

Craig I’m going to assume you made a good faith comment and don’t have an incurable thinking problem. Shit like this Craig. Ideas and acts similar to the quoted action plan. Cowardly ideas that do nothing and show people you’re actually not willing to stand and fight. Thanks for playing.

The right says they won’t eat until every demand is met and then gets an eighth of their demands met and has dinner. The left says the same and starves to death because despite making constant references to non-violent protest it’s painfully clear they’ve never read any further into it.

Thank god we have you guys around to remind us that if we get elected we too can post snarky buzzfeed-style leads to articles we didn’t write instead of doing literally anything else. What could go wrong with legislators who secretly hope things get worse so they can be re-elected?

I’m hearing he’s saved the government an estimated $155 billion by not shaving.

Yeah man that’s a lot of people. What are you going to do with that knowledge? It seems like being smug about it hasn’t worked out so well for everyone. You either understand what he said is true and convince those people you can offer them something or you’re just dunking on yourself.

Anything the democrats actually do runs the risk of them losing votes from their own party. Think about that. Republicans will just take the win even if it’s fake, democrats will find a way you ignored someone’s needs and punish you for it. It’s hard to watch.

Is this more “that dog can’t play basketball” or is this going anywhere?
