At this point I’ve spent weeks of my life at Bahnhof Offenburg because of missed connections between Schwarzwaldbahn and Europabahn.
DB is perfectly capable of messing it up alone, but border checks make it much worse.

That’s the official reason! But most people that board them in Hornberg aren’t going to the museum.
I certainly used them a lot when they were on diversion (instead of going to Freudenstadt).
