And this is really fucking old, I remember in middle school they had this thing where everyone in class lined up in the gym and they listed out some "privileges" and we had to take one step forward if we had them, one step back if we didn't. Insanely uncomfortable due to the hypervisibility of it

I've always hated the concept of "privilege" because right from the start I would constantly see people referring to human rights, fundamental freedoms, basic requirements of life, etc as "privileges"

for fucks sake “less lethal” ammunition can kill people. ICE ran a barricade and ran over protestors.
they used fucking tear gas!
if you have more energy to scold protestors reasonably responding to horrific actions taken by the state… well… honestly, just shut your fucking mouth.

the state makes every protest violent by responding to it with violence.
last time i looked people have a fucking right to be violent back to defend themselves.
and since the state is always going to respond with violence, i don’t see why people are acting like making state agents eat shit is bad

actually I just looked it up, they didn't make it for the show, it's from a youtube video. Officially credited as this on the OST, lol. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW61...

yeah. Literally only good thing about this abortion of a show is that it ends with a citypop cover of "Never Gonna Give You Up" and I'll hand it to them that that is a very funny thing to make and use as a finale song.

I found out about it reading the goodreads reviews lol. Also found out there are still a lot of people in 2025 who will go "it's so unbelievable that she ran from the murder scene instead of just staying and explaining herself to the cops since she didn't do anything wrong, this book is bad"

What on earth, apparently there's a Killer Potential tv series in production?? Wild

The main character of the book is even bi! But that doesn't stop her from giving her all to the crazy lesbian woman she finds tied up in a dead rich person's house one day! 🥰

To be fair they also did "sanitize" it on top of failing what they do attempt to leave in. Yumeko merely goes "yayyy" when she wins a game and somehow they thought it was a good idea to make the eyepatch psycho on the student council straight in this version

It's so funny that a Western adaptation of an anime somehow resulted in far fewer blond characters

A version of Yumeko that doesn't scare rich people, thus: not Yumeko

The fact that they chose the english word Bottoms is never not funny.

His strong odor that reminds me of strong animals like bears and ferrets, and also onions, famously the strongest of the root vegetables...

I mean to be fair even from the beginning this was the only logical explanation for RCBG and the money behind it

Emmy mentioned that "soper" is a slur for gay men, so I'm pretty sure she said "faggot" as the topper to that speech. And as a "feminized cis man" I doubt many people could challenge Laura's right to say that word lol
comment in response to

I saw a lot of incorrect predictions because I think a lot of us forgot that Laura actually believes what she says. If you've fully internalized an identity of "she/her male lesbian" it's impossible for some swemish troll to trick you into exposing yourself as something else

Is this projection on my part? Maybe a little. But there's gotta be a reason I'm projecting it onto her instead of the rest of the cast right

It's gotta be Katherine. School is a social environment and I cannot imagine her surviving in one where she has to be exposed to cis people and other kinds of normies constantly, and her methods of confrontation don't hold up against people willing to do physical violence like high school boys.

was that not pretty much exactly what she said to Emmy before getting off the phone lol

Some people really don't want to acknowledge "the computer produces math" and "the computer produces supposedly coherent language" are very different things, even if the latter stole the basic methods of the former to work

One Halloween in the late twenty-first century, a man foolishly wears the wrong costume. KIMMY is the story of what happens next.
This one is the one with all the warnings.

Now that I think about it actually that FMV has a lot in common with the prologue of SH1 where Harry gets stabbed by children in front of a skinned crucified body. Both games set up the player to be completely thrown off their expectations of contiguous logic, or at least they're trying to.

Darks Souls 2 even has that intro FMV with the faces melting and the player character diving into a whirlpool, it starts you in Things Betwixt as a very blatantly impossible space esp after going to Majula, and yet somehow it still gets under some people's skin that it "doesn't make sense"
