It's gonna be ROUGH in TO these next years unless they do magic on the UFA market. Those next 3 years, they have NO first round pick, 2x2nd, 3x3rd, 1x4th. Easton Cowan is the only decent prospect in their pipeline.

I think there was more life in the Bell Center during the first exhibition game this season than in the Scotiabank Arena during game 6 of the 2nd round of the playoffs when it's the first time in the past 20 years they get there. Never want to hear anyone try to pass that as the mecca of hockey.

On one hand, I'm all for rooting for a canadian team, bring back the cup home, especially in this USA VS Can crisis. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'm ready to legitimize what is already the most obnoxiously arrogant fanbase... one that cannot even see who's pulling their own team. Rough times.

A lot of people are salivating at the idea of signing Bennett as our 2C this summer. I seriously hope we don't. He's going to want a long term deal and gritty power forwards age like sour milk. Most of them crash around 29-31 y.o. because of how hard their body had it. Simmonds, Perry, Gally, etc.

With Celebrini and Smith, SJ needed Schaeffer more than they needed Misa, but man, can you imagine having Celebrini, Smith and Misa in the same team?! Probably moves Smith to the wing on the long run, but damn, their attack is going to be insane with Dickinson at the point on the PP.
