Yet another reason why I haven't bought from Amazon for years and will never buy from them again. Heartless bastards

... who want retention of derogation as a red line. TD on the radio replied, when pointed out this was EU law, in Ireland we choose which laws to obey. Fantastic. Meanwhile the rivers and lakes are dying a slow death. Fools like these should be allowed nowhere near govt. Time to get a grip

Yes, we're on tramore. Lots of members of tramore eco group are bird lovers and partake in the surveys. I started doing a survey of all the flora and fauna living on our 2 acres, lots and lots out there and I haven't even attempted to id all the grasses and invertebrates yet

Dyson has just bought a pile over here in Ireland and is now seeking planning permission for a helipad. I'm hoping the planners tell him to stick it up his arse where only one of his crappy hoovers can reach

I was delighted to see a pair of bullfinch last week. Will have to sit down and do a proper survey, ie with a cup of tea and a biscuit

I'm still waiting for the glorious day when musk, Bezos, Branson and any other rich, white arse steps through the airlock onto a rocket to go and colonise Mars. That day can't come soon enough, I'd give them a lovely wave off. True heroes of our time 🤮

Here in tramore we have a sizable grant to help protect and restore our under threat sand hills, all thanks to NPWS. Had the pleasure of meeting malcolm on a visit to tramore, lovely bloke and genuinely caring about our natural world

I think that's too harsh, they got a lot done and certainly more than they would have by carping from the sidelines in opposition. Given how far the other way the status quo was, they've managed to keep climate and nature in the debate, even if that was then rejected by the public. More fool us

It's telling that the Suir in Waterford is fast becoming a lifeless sewer and beaches are losing blue flags, yet this wasn't a feature of any campaigning. Immigration and airports. We're worse off with no greens in govt

Why do they continue to sell the farmers a lie over derogation. It's gone and needed to go. If our rivers were pristine and full of life then fine, but they're not, they're dying, full of bloody fertiliser and human waste

It was very good, my only criticism, why was it on so late?

I'd second that, loads of great info on there

It was something to see wasn't it, it actually sounded like rishi sunak banging on about the hard working people up and down the land whilst selling a lie. We monitor all the local streams into tramore and all were in a poor ecological state

There's always room for a pond 😉 This was in our old place, a shady corner and a plastic half barrel, planted up with ferns and rocks and logs around the edge. Frogs and newts soon moved in

Lovely garden Helen, we're relatively new to our current plot and it's a busman's holiday (permaculture and eco garden designer). Will be plenty of compost, poo, wildlife and food plants on my feed. Here's our new wildlife pond, in a year and full of life
