#2 is absolutely a skill issue. It is actually easy to ask for a date or a phone number without coming off as a creep as long as you're aware enough to know when the situation or the person's behavior suggest that asking is inappropriate

1. The swing voters that the media keeps talking about are largely mythical. In every profile of this group I've read the vast majority have voted Trump in at least 2 of the last 3 elections.
