It's disappointing that 9 years after the greatest act of political and economic when the plucky populace of the UK voted to shut the blackout curtains and trade in magic beans, the US has fallen for the same pathetic fantasy grift. Billionaires will profit ultimately, families will not.

Clear penalty at Ipswich. Clear obstruction.

The US is being dismantled by a gang of crooks intent on lining their own pockets. I want Starmer to be robust in his language not craven. No equivocation. If Trump wants to twat around and threaten our allies, end our relationship with him. Trade more with the EU and the rest of the world.

Hmmmm, Spurs fans singing 'Spurs are on their way to Wembley'. What a presumption. Manys the slip twixt the cup and the lip, chaps. See you midweek

Can't believe we didn't sell that No9. #LFC

Can you have less than a minute of stoppage time? Asking for a friend.

Chris Kavanaugh, eh? What a chap. Jurgen's probably in a darkened room somewhere reliving past traumas. How is this guy a professional referee? Baffling decision making, ridiculous time keeping and the loosest interpretation of the rule book on God's green earth.

@evertonfc.com are like the sad divorced dad trawling Facebook for the girl they went out with at school to hook up again for an unfulfilling second fling. #Disappointment #InevitableRecriminations

Only Arsenal fans head for the door when 2-down in a cup semi-final. Shocking.

New for 2025. Today I listened to a CD for the first time in about 10 years. Come back tomorrow for more firsts as I try to smile and be civil for the first time since 2016. #ItCouldHappen

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

I've just seen the Saliba penalty decision from yesterday's Arsenal game. If that is the way the game is going, we should just chuck in the towel now. Absolute nonsense. I'd be raging if it happened to Liverpool. Yet again referees and VARs showing contextual detachment from the game.

There are more than a million British people with Pakistani heritage in the UK. For the Shadow Home Secretary to suggest they have an "alien" and "medieval" culture and to smear them by association with the crimes of a tiny minority, is the politics of the far-right gutter.

@officialbha.bsky.social Have an especially excellent Saturday night. Milky Bars are on me!

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public. He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit. Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Mega Mind needs to buck his ideas up or Luke Littler is going to steamroller him.

This will never get old 🤣

Wow, I never knew he said this. Jimmy Carter was ahead of his time—a man of unmatched kindness and integrity. Truly, he was too good for us.

I'm watching The Big Country on BBC2. Cast reminding Gregory Peck every 5 minutes that it's a Big Country. It must have shrunk a lot in the years since. Apparently there is no room left. Good job the immigrants portrayed in film got there when they did, eh? The Big Country and The Small Minds.
