Hooper is having a shocker. Almost like he's been told 'Oliver had a shocker in midweek, go easy on them.' Even as someone desperate for the points, I can see the disparity. Ibou very lucky. Not a penalty IMO. Push was enough to rule it out. Football karma? Please, just use the rules.

He also said you'd 'never have to vote again' and that is an even more terrifying signal of intent.

Very impressive team performance so far. The game should be out of sight. Huijsen has been top.

I'd hazard a guess that Brian has a disdain for public transport and the peasants who use it.

Barry Lyndon is a brilliant visual spectacle, as you'd expect of Kubrick. Ryan O'Neal seems miscast but is excellent as the titular anti hero.

In my view, genuine attempt to play the ball. Made 1st contact with the ball then with the opponent. Clash of heads and a drop ball would have been fair IMO.

Correct.

We've also reached the stage where I grant myself celebratory drinks when Arsenal and Chelsea drop points. And a bonus drink when I re-realise that City didn't even come into the 1st equation.

Admission of failure, apparently.

Which is a salutary reminder that overconfidence often precedes pain. Enjoy each game as it comes and pop the corks if we remain top at the end of the season.
