Yah... according to the map, it's viable, but texas and california aren't exactly humid (which seems to be a requirement?).
The USDA zones seem to be temperature based, and don't exactly factor in humidity?
I have to admit, I'm not an expert on botany, and those ranges seem very small (in the US).

Maybe also, a small portion of Texas?

I know this is a joke, but it got me curious. According to a (very brief) internet search, bananas grow best in humid tropical regions... identified by USDA Zones 9-11...
This limits production ranges in the continental US to the tip of Florida & a very small part of Southern California...

I know I've subscribed to at least a few feeds, where the content seems to be good, and then it'll just post some heinous garbage for a couple of posts, before turning relevant again.

This may be the point that people are missing. I had no idea that running a feed costs a user anything more than clicking a couple of buttons and saying "hey look, it's a feed now".
Now, I'm at least a little curious how the backend works...

I feel like if she had done *something* with the license, besides use it as a massive legal hammer, i'd be more sympathetic to her cause, but the reality is that it played such a minor role in the movie that the entire concept seems a bit ridiculous.

Linux has saved two of my PC's from the proverbial scrapheap in the sky...
One potato of a laptop that should have been replaced five years ago, and one desktop that was having a black-screen issue under windows 11 (but works fine under ubuntu)

I notice "break your collarbone on a bike ride and become a cyborg" isn't on this list...
Would not recommend, but it's something I've already checked off my list... 😅

I feel like this could be legitimately true of either one of them and chat gpt has been running the country for the past 8 years

I've had a lot of shitty landlords over the years, but our current one is fantastic.
Haven't really had any issues with neighbors, but any issue that does crop up (plumbing related, mostly), the landlord has solved it nearly immediately, and very professionally.

I'd much rather see people donate to a cause they believe in, than set their money on fire by buying a new car they do not need...
The only people that benefit in the latter action are the banks...

The best you can do here is to drive it into the ground, and not buy a new one.

In fact, treating a car as disposable is really bad for the environment.

If musk was required to buy them back at last year's prices, I might have a different opinion, but it doesn't actually help anyone for this person to drive their car off a cliff.

The damage is done. You are asking a person to cut off their nose to spite Elon Musk, in a time when these cars are already massively depreciating...

If you are underwater on a car loan, and can't get into a new one, because you are not financially solvent to do so... It doesn't hurt the people in charge to go into massive amounts of debt to get out of that car loan. The car is already bought and paid for.

Unfortunately, selling a used car isn't nearly as easy as standing up from a table.
If you bought your tesla in 2022, just before Elon started showing his true colors, you could still be massively underwater on your nearly $100k auto loan. A gap that only grows larger the more musk opens his mouth

This is my thought exactly. Everybody seems to be worried about the conflict of interest. I'm worried about the clearly *massive* national security issue of the president flying around in a foreign owned aircraft.

I'm sure there's a similar analogy for the art or production side...
Doing something fast does not always equate to doing it right.

I work on the software side. Sure, you might have finished that thing in 15 minutes, but it's going to take someone else days to fix it when something goes wrong... Better to spend the additional 45 now to make sure it's understandable in 3mo or 3y time... Future you will thank you.
