Great @edinburghgreens.bsky.social team out today speaking to the good people in Hutchison, Chesser and Moat ahead of the by-election on 26 June. Go @scottishgreens.org! #VoteQ1

Out in sunny Largs with Ayrshire Greens today. Lots of chats about the need to get Ardrossan Harbour back into public ownership, plus an obligatory Nardinis 🍦

Scottish Green Party members will soon be choosing our candidates for next year's election. My track record of turning Green policy into action has already made a huge difference in people's lives. I'm asking members for a 1st preference vote to continue that work.

Great feedback on the doors around #Fountainbridge #Craiglockhart today for @qmanivannan.bsky.social our @edinburghgreens.bsky.social candidate in the by-election on Thursday Lots of people worried about cost of living crisis & want to see a gentler, kinder politics. #VoteQ1 #VoteScottishGreens

Today is the Edinburgh Canal Festival! It's a great day out in the community. We will have a stall ur stalls opposite the Ashley Terrace Boathouse, next door to the Edinburgh Union canal society. Hope to see you later! edinburghcanalfestival.org.uk

Yesterday was our penultimate door-knocking session for Q's campaign - and was our biggest yet! One more to go - join us for our action day tomorrow at 10am! Let's get @qmanivannan.bsky.social elected 💚🌱

We have gone solar @wolct.bsky.social! Our visitor centre is an old school so has challenges. But as of today, we’ve got 27 panels generating over 10kW of renewable energy— enough to power our café and more. While the café uses just 3.3kW, we’re exporting 7.43kW and our battery is fully charged!

Over the course of the campaign I’ve heard so many residents talk about the love we have for the canal in our area. I’ve had some of my dearest memories & walks there. That’s why, as part of a busy day campaigning this Saturday, I’ll be popping into the canal festival. I hope to see you there!

☀️ Less than two weeks to go until the Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart by-election 🗳️ Let's make the ward Green and get the amazing Q Manivannan elected! #VoteQ1 on Thursday 26th June.

Article in the Herald, an analysis of the misinformation that brought down a National Park. A stark warning for all of us working on environmental and progressive causes that are opposed by powerful vested interests. bsky.app/profile/aprs...

Well done to Zahrah!!

We had Greens & supporters from neighbourhoods in Fountainbridge, Craiglockhart, as well as from Glasgow, St Andrews, & Livingston today! Canvassing on Watson Crescent meant wonderful interactions (despite the thunder & rain) on the future of our (very green) area! Thanks to all who came 💚

Today's the day! Join us outside the Scottish parliament from 12:30-2pm to make our voices heard for Scotland's nature 🌱✊

The best morning! Rain couldn’t stop the Summer Fair at the Craiglockhart Primary School, & I saw so many familiar faces — friends, residents I’ve met the past weeks knocking doors, and more. This is home 💜 Before that — a big group canvassing session around Appin! #Fountainbridge #Craiglockhart

As one Scottish by-election closes, another swims into focus. The Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart contest on 26 June is arguably the most competitive in Scotland and I’m proud of the work the @edinburghgreens.bsky.social team is doing on behalf of @scottishgreens.org candidate @qmanivannan.bsky.social

Door knocking and talking to residents in Slateford last night along with the @edinburghgreens.bsky.social team for our @scottishgreens.org candidate @qmanivannan.bsky.social. People are excited by the prospect of a councillor with new energy and fresh ideas. #VoteQ1 #VoteScottishGreens

"We’ve organised the Stand Up for Nature demonstration outside the Scottish parliament to show MSPs that people want restoring nature to be a priority." Read more about next week's #ScotlandLovesNature demo outside the Scottish parliament in Deadline News: www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2025/06/04/e...

Top marks to @wtscotsocial.bsky.social for bringing along 70 saplings to last night’s @scotlink.bsky.social Nature champions event at Parliament. It was amusing seeing people dispersing in all directions with trees sticking out their bags. My oak and rowan saplings are planted!

This is powerful analysis from @kat-jones.bsky.social of @aprscotland.bsky.social. If national parks are to be a mainstay of how we protect nature, enhance access and provide lasting community benefit (and I firmly believe they are) then a bolder approach is needed. aprs.scot/news/misinfo...

When I say ours is a people-powered campaign, I mean it! My team of campaigners & supporters, including many volunteer residents, are working tirelessly to speak to as many people as possible, to use canvassing to build communities, & best represent the FC area. #VoteGreen1 #VoteScottishGreens

I’ve only just recently become chair of @wolct.bsky.social so can claim no credit but this gorgeous wee film is just the best vindication of almost 4 decades making the river the haven for wildlife it now is. youtu.be/Q5XeRR3Emd0?...

Just finished knocking on over 60 doors today on Ashley Terrace. Before the by-elections were announced, @gavincorbett.bsky.social & I, with many other locals, demonstrated for a pedestrian crossing here at the junction on Ashley Terrace. Direct action matters. #VoteQ1 #VoteScottishGreens

Another great session knocking doors and speaking to voters today with @edinburghgreens.bsky.social colleagues for @qmanivannan.bsky.social the @scottishgreens.org candidate for the council by-election on 26 June. People really appreciate the chance to have face to face conversations.

Great feedback on the doors around Shandon today for @qmanivannan.bsky.social in the Fountainbridge / Craiglockhart by-election on 26 June. People keen for a different kind of politics. @edinburghgreens.bsky.social #VoteQ1 #VoteScottishGreens

64 doors today knocked on today with the incredible Robbie Walker and while many were out for a well deserved Friday evening, those we met were happy to have their potential representatives at the door — I’m surprised (I shouldn’t be) at how rare it is for politicians to actually talk to people.

Beautiful soft light and breeze in the trees for a Friday night out to Gladhouse. Sooooo lucky to have this within easy reach of an evening’s ride

Knocked on 50+ doors today in Merchiston with my best friend Locals were concerned about the upcoming development at the brewery, canalside safety, issues with speeding. Warm responses across political divides — to converse kindly amidst disagreement, that’s the bedrock of a caring community.

We've waited two decades for our 3rd national park, so we're disappointed to see this opportunity missed. A new Galloway NP, if delivered well, had potential to attract funding, promote responsible outdoor recreation & support people of all backgrounds to walk in this beautiful corner of Scotland.

Hugely disappointing that Galloway National Park will not be going ahead. Missed opportunity for investment in access infrastructure and sustainable visitor economy.

A wee video message from me on why I’m backing @qmanivannan.bsky.social the @scottishgreens.org candidate in the Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart by-election: the area in which I used to be councillor. It’s been great working with Q and the @edinburghgreens.bsky.social team! #VoteQ1 #VoteScottishGreens

For ever grateful for the dedication of our volunteers. Today, they removed years' worth of litter from a random piece of woodland between the canal & bypass on the Murrayburn tributary. A healthy place left for others to enjoy
