A good question but with London City Bond, where we ship the wine to in vol, store it and deliver from there, Scotland is prohibitively expensive for Scotland delivery. Edinburgh is zone 8 (£51 plus VAT for 1 x 12 btl case) Glasgow zone 7 (£32 plus VAT). Comp to £15 in Eng/Wal. Looking to change it.

Gosh. Pole position in the Easter Saturday Telegraph and Victoria Moore’s kind words: ‘the new vintage of Quinney’s Château Bauduc Sauvignon Blanc 2024 (£13.25 in cases of six, delivery free in England… bauduc.com), has just landed. Crisp, streamlined, mostly sauvignon, excellent. Definitely a buy.’

I agree. There’s quite a useful feed called ‘OnlyPosts’ but that covers everyone you follow.

Up to the Battle of Evesham, with one tussle still to go.

You could see it coming. Poor by Chelsea in the end - family at home all shouting at the TV 🙄 Few players really tried to put the game beyond reach with a second goal. Poor sub by Maresca taking Jackson off. Anyway, at least we had buyers via a friend for our (expensive) season tickets on the day.

Meanwhile, a big shoutout to Erin Robinson who was number 1 in the world 🌍 over Christmas out of 11 million #fpl ‘managers’. No flash in the pan either as she finished 15th Overall Rank last season. 👏 (Re the tweet & pics below she won’t be leaving Salah or Gabriel on the bench, just to be clear.)

Tom, do you think you could avoid using the words ‘career suicide’ about people who dedicate themselves to wine, not least with your incorrect assumptions? The winemakers, wine writers, communicators and educators that I mix with are an honest and helpful bunch of people. bsky.app/profile/toml...

Thanks Tom. But I wasn’t meaning for me as I have a small vineyard making just 200k bottles a year, and don’t sell through the trade in GB on the whole (we do in other countries). I was thinking generally, outside of the experts on branding and pricing at the likes of corporate giants such as LVMH.
