Probably more bluster, distraction and saber rattling to distract from the domestic heist going on, at least I hope. But god forbid; what American soldier would want to go in for that mission from hell?

How many people around the world will suffer because of this? Sure there is probably some frivolous spending but also necessary programs. While they’re at it, maybe start with biggest cash vacuum of out tax dollars, the DOD.

Unfortunately probably true…a much different world now. But we can learn from them and others that have fallen, or endured through evolution and adaption.

Yes. Back then change was gradual. Engineers and technocrats can do marvels for a civilization, but the foundations of what made it great - a republic with fair laws and competent, level headed leaders (consuls or emperors) was beyond their capability to endure across time & different cultures.

But I take your point. If only they understood about germ theory.

Not really, it was a republic for about 400 years.
Then empire for another 500 or so with many tyrannical lunatics running the show, then it fell apart and disintegrated and split into East/ West empire factions, and into the dark ages with the Holy Roman Empire.

I think you need to keep an eye on what propaganda the technocrats and the oligarchs are spewing to the gullible masses. Information is power. Just don’t spend too much time there or your brain starts to rot.

Can we do an independent audit on how much tax payer money has gone to musk and his companies? Maybe let’s start there and work our way out.

As long as algorithmic incentives are to increase engagement, and not be intuitive as to the particular needs or bent of the user, all of it is pointless mind control - like all tools of propaganda

TikTok algorithm is turning young Americans into short attention span simpletons.
They'll be another platform that'll do the same, made here in the good old US because that's the plan of big tech anyway, they just want to own it. But keep kids stupid and uninformed...away from books, is the goal

Savvy politicians are hard to come by. Conservatives tend to leverage social media better, but it’s the game that is being played now and all elected officials need to get on the field.
It’s about engagement with the public

Only if we let him...people will always reject a tyrant, and if enough reject his megalomaniacal agenda he will end up like so many in history (see Louis XVI of France, 1793)

Not sure they are there yet, but we shall see.
I hope that if they do, you're correct and they're egos are healthy and without insecurity, focused on common goals with the most collective good as opposed to pure self interest...a common human trait

It's rare that an actor gives a performance in this form as well as he did. Hopefully will be done more when possible, especially when the subject is so personal for the artist.
