When you add to that consideration how people that have gotten shingles feel, a little ouchie is tolerable.

I’ve read a suggestion that Kelvin is how atoms feel, Celsius is how water feels, and Fahrenheit is how people feel. That checks out in my mind.

I live in Mamdani's assembly district. Went out to early vote yesterday and there was a line at the polls. Not sure if this is indicative of anything, but I thought it was interesting. Never saw a line for early voting in a primary in an off-year before.

I'm still waiting for an explanation that makes even a tiny bit of sense of what "transgender for everyone" is supposed to mean.

Sad news. Peter was regularly a guest at a convention that I worked on in the ‘90s-2000s.

I think here might be to identify the back cover ad, identify what month(s) it was used, and then check a cover gallery for that month(s)

I fully expect that to cross-promote this, we're going to see Bert and Ernie in the front row at WWE's Monday Night Raw.

I did on online match to find my best matches (which, granted was multiple choice which doesn’t leave a lot of room for nuance, but is better than nothing) and it tells me Ramos, Mamdani (also my rep), Blake, Myrie, and Lander should be my 5.

“Thank you for attention in this matter”? That’s something you typically tack onto a message when you’re asking someone to do something. Trump is living in his own little world where nothing means what it does in the real one.

I was first exposed to Jonathan Coulton when he was doing Thing a Week. Crazy that that was 19 years ago. A friend of mine was doing merch sales for his show on the first of May. Tiny venue in NYC that's long gone now.

REMINDER: we’re at Step 3 in the Trump Market Fraud & Self-Enrichment Scheme:
Step 1: Short the market
Step 2: Announce tariffs
Step 3: Market crashes
Step 4: Buy on the dip
Step 5: Extort favours from countries
Step 6: Scrap tariffs
Step 7: Market rises
Step 8: Sell on the rise, bank the profits.

Much more effective if, instead of emailing him, one just signs him up for every mailing list one comes across

I really hope other Dems are paying attention. THIS is how you respond to Trump.

The way things are going, the name of that book is going to be Heroes of the New Republic or some similar bullshit.

Trump is so woefully unprepared for the job as president that he doesn't even know when he should have known something and when it's perfectly understandable that he would be ignorant about a topic.

Except that they will then say that they can't pay for for that time, but you're SOL because you already turned in your resignation.

He's an awful human being, but he's quite effective at getting the heel heat (probably because he's an awful person). I have a feeling he's going to win the RR, dumping out some of the favorites to really turn up the hate.

I think it's written in a way that it intends to convey that conclusion, but I don't believe it. (At least, I don't believe that the crew spent five months *exclusively* doing that.)

My initial reaction was not that it doesn't know which number is greater, but rather that it thinks water freezes as the temperature goes up.

I would absolutely love to see a scene where coffee goes sloshing all over the place because people handle them the way they do.
