Fabulous thread explaining why the data about possible exoplanet does not support the conclusions. In addition to poor science communication, from Uni Cambs, it is amplified by poor science reporting that's endemic here in the UK

Slightly disappointed that of all the brassicas that cauliflower was chosen rather than Brussel Sprouts which to my mind shares greater topological similarity. I think further work is required. I look forward to the first Brassica oleracea - Astrophysics conferences.

Etymology of the day: before a tapering piece of hanging ice was called an ‘icicle’ it was an ‘ickle’. In the Middle Ages people decided to add ‘ice’ for extra oomph and (tautologically) called it an ‘ice ickle’, until the two words eventually blended together.
