I use vintagepensacsandparts.com. They stock a huge range. The hard part with pens like this is separating the section from the barrel. If that goes ok then the rest tends to be straightforward. It needs heat, but not too much. I practiced on very cheap old pens.

Oh no! Really sorry to hear that. Glad you found the TWISBI as recompense.

Curious as to why you need to remove the nib? I have only done it to very old pens (1950s and earlier) that need complete overhauls, and even then only when necessary.

I wonder if the ink sack has deteriorated and needs replacing? I recently bought a 1946-48 Duofold NS and the sack had solidified. Replaced it and it now writes beautifully.

The complete lack of any scientific understanding from these judges, combined with the refusal to take submissions from anyone in the trans community is deplorable. The judgement is just plain wrong.

I think it's Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus. It's a red giant that tends to look orange to me through my scope

I hadn't realised that they did different variants, but that's not surprising! The quality of the lower end Parker fountain pen nibs can be a bit variable, especially as they tend to cost a fair amount relative to the Jinhao pens that I have seen folks write about here are good value < £10.

Isn't the Parker Jotter a fountain pen? So aren't you already part of the fold?

Beautiful bike, with a nod to Italy too with those elegant Campagnolo shifters.

It seems to me that he is treating her like a servant and not a wife who is an equal individual to him. There does not seem to be much love and respect from him.

Talking to fascists is ridiculous & pointless. Don’t take my word for it. Listen to that of an Irish Holocaust survivor

Not going to shoot you, but you have lost any and all respect. I assumed that the FT might have had an editorial staff who dealt in facts. I prefer to believe the Germans, the history professors and my own eyes.

Reading through and transcribing affidavits, it almost felt I was being transported to a justice's of the peace office in early-mid 19th century Ohio.

I joined up last night and transcribed a number of papers relating to pension application for someone who took part in the revolutionary war. I found it fascinating. Will definitely be doing more of it

Of course I had the advantage of living in 1975, and the garb in the picture was the clue. Much bigger collars in 1975

Possible cunning plan: could he be arrested for incitement of hatred? Then set bail him at, let's say, £44 bn. He skips bail...makes Treasury happy!

He read your profile with zero comprehension. You said you were not interested, again he didn't listen. To me, this shows inability to listen, understand and respect you. He needs to learn to listen properly, and not come across as an entitled misogynist. tl;dr The bear has more charm and charisma

Seriously? Who appointed you to judge? I am guessing you are a cis-het man. Your sense of entitlement to tell a trans person, who knows very well what Sngl espouses, not to block is astonishing. Though not surprising. Listen to the trans people in your replies. You might learn something.

Yeah, I have been re-looking. I am not seeing any sort of AI interference on my results. See screen shot of web search.
(Can't think why I am using this as an example.)

Oh no. I hadn't realised. But at least it doesn't swamp the page with Gemini AI, and you get a lot more links than google without having to click.

I stopped googling because of this. I now use DuckDuckGo all the time. Started as an experiment, but it's like using Google of old without the AI garbage.

I have a crackpot idea that might help if you wanted to continue typing. Cut out two pieces of aluminium foil about 1/2" wide and 2" long. Glue foil over bandaid where you normally touch screen. Run foil up thumbs. Use second bandaid to secure foil touch your skin. Should provide a conductive path.

I was thinking in practical terms about how this site behaves. There are likely to be more cis folks here, so if moderation action is driven by numbers reporting, lots of reports will help. And, yeah, you are right, I have an awesome trans daughter who is one of my best friends.
