I'm glad she is okay and got the healthcare that she needed but every pregnant person should have the access they need rather than being banned by the government. She really needs to learn some humility and understand that her predicament was a result of the policies she supports.

Schiff voted with republicans to pass S. 1582 on June 17th. This was a Trump admin goal, and basically makes a whole range of crypto scams possible. Schiff is part of this corruption, and his posturing here is a sham to make him sound like he's "fighting against it." Don't believe his lies.

The civil rights being attacked are the substance of the attack. These people are Americans, full stop. You acting like that ongoing harm is just a "distraction" is insulting, stupid, and not a stretch to read as your OWN bigotry about who matters and who doesn't. Protect everyone to protect us all.

I like how that piece opened with "this June is a moment of quiescence in the campaign cycle" and it's just like... okay, *I* know what that word means. I would never in a million years use it for the purposes of newswriting over something like "a lull" or "dormant" or "quiet."

"Clash" in the same way someone with zero control over or insight into a situation clashes with those who actual do.

I have to agree it's a teachable moment, but this is more an "Americans see their own military is dangerous to them in an immediate way" learning moment than a "gosh golly, we'll do better next time" sort of thing.
