26 billion pounds of beef are produced in the US per year. Switching to chicken/pork (45 billion pounds/26 billion pounds) would certainly help with climate impacts, but I’m incredibly skeptical those systems can handle the increased load (as we’ve seen with bird flu decimating the hen population).

Man, the year 2025 and we’re still doing animalistic dehumanization. The vegans may be right that the only way to fix this is to seriously rethink our relationship with the animal world. I’m not a religious man, but Tuberville could probably start with Ecclesiastes 3:19.

The average calorie intake per person in America is 3600 calories. If you think replacing vegetable oils with beef tallow in the deep fryer is going to put a dent in the obesity epidemic, you’re probably selling the beef tallow. Dumbest times keep getting dumber.

I will never not be frustrated by respected journalists still calling it fake meat. I don’t ever recall a period where people called the plant-based milks “fake milk”. And then we wonder why plant-based meat sales never took off but plant milks are now ~15 % of consumption. It’s all psychology.
