Ford: "People need to follow the law." Also Ford: Passes legislation allowing him to ignore the law.

Have any of them made any actual profit?

Definitely over the cops who reportedly ignored the threats they had been getting for ages.

Is she aware that her party has deported a bunch of people, including Eastern Europeans, who came to the UK for "freedom"?

And we have Ukraine as inspiration. I am amazed at the strength of the Ukrainian people.

We'll never know, but I wonder what would have happened if the Harris campaign hadn't gotten him to squash his instincts.

The whole thing is so sad.

Same! I will occasionally ride on the sidewalk, for safety, but the right thing to do is show deference and respect for people walking. That guy is a jerk and I wouldn't be mad if he stepped on some Lego.

Gotta love AI hallucinations.

And wasting your time can be part of their tactics. Keep you involved in dealing with their nonsense so you have less time or energy to do the work that would make things better.

That's the thing. Those conversations are only reasonable if antivaxxers can be persuaded. I can't remember where I got this, but before getting into the conversation, ask what you need to prove for the other person to change their mind. If they can't come up with anything, it's a waste of time.

Not the biggest issue, but is he aware that Bono is Irish and doesn't have American citizenship?

So who's in charge then, bro?

Which is?

I meant someone who is "anti-woke," but that works, too.

Ahh, so this is basically an extended "you can't tell me what to do!" tantrum.

So if you're walking slowly and in the way, you think it'd be totally reasonable for someone to hit you with a bat for being inconsiderate? Because I don't. Being annoying isn't any justification for violence.

THIS. No one has ever been able to explain to me how any of this would be easier if they were a separate country. If anything, it would be easier to tell them to go kick rocks.

Yeah. We just had an election. Having another one in a few months is unlikely to change things much, unless people decide to punish whatever party forced us to do it all again. The 2021 one cost $574.2 million.

Yes, it's just that the turn of phrase doesn't make sense.

I gave up that night and filed first thing in the morning. I'm fortunate that all the tax I ended up owing had already been deducted from my paychecks. So I wasn't technically late paying my taxes. They even owe me $50!

It was a relief. But I hope that we recognize that our work is just beginning. It's up to us to push our elected officials to do what we want them to do.

Came here to say this. Dunno if it says more about me or the state of the world that it took me a minute to realize I should check to see if it's satire. And that one argument for it was doubt she would be invited to the Met Gala.

Ummm, your healthcare system and all the gun violence are conclusive proof that Americans didn't have the best lives in the world. American exceptionalism is part of the problem here. Too many of you think you're special and, therefore, your way is the best. Even when it's demonstrably false.

I mean, if they want us to be harsher on other countries committing war crimes, I'm definitely open to it.

He is a big part of how we got to where we are. Years ago, I decided I was going to have a party when he dies. And we will sing Ding Dong the Mitch is Dead.

I'm blocked, too, and I didn't even say anything! At least not to this.

Makes sense to me. This most recent election was heavily influenced by a) Trump's policy and rhetoric and b) Mark Carney replacing Trudeau so recently. It seems unlikely that we'll see another election with these same elements.

WTF does she expect me to hunt *in Toronto*? Freaking raccoons?

With a Poirot mustache, obviously.
