yeah, this hits the nail on the head! and it's why so many of us have stuck with genshin so long. it really does feel like a breath of fresh air and escape... fontaine was ok with the kinda steampunk atmosphere but. yeah since natlan it's been quite a lot of misses for me...

YEAH EXACTLY... that's what felt so special about genshin for a long time, for me. i have a snapshot memory of coming over a hill and seeing liyue harbour for the first time in the distance and. idk. that came from a thoughtful and cohesive set of design choices, not... whatever we have now

YEAH... yeah... there are ways earlier in the game that i feel teyvat had its own ways of doing technology/modernity which fit the universe but more and more the additions just feel messy and out of place lol 😭

i love this 😭 kaeya angling for fewer and fewer gifts/expensive gestures... diluc still gives them anyway because he wants to spoil him but he notices kaeya just... wants to do small boring simple things with him just as much as expensive vacations or trips to the opera... it makes his heart so 😳💓
