why would he think in english? thats my main peeve frankly. w the odd word in spanish, it just highlights, to me, that he's thinking in english, and i just dont know why he'd do that?? it's the only thing i can think about when im reading his pov😩 i'd get it if he was the son of immigrants but😩

there's been one phrase in spanish. what annoys me isnt necessarily the random words in spanish, it's just, he came to new york fairly recently, english is sorta new to him ish. why would he only have a single word here and there in spanish? and always a one off noun?

🤣 there might've been flames, flames of Suffering! i remember thinking the rona had gotten to me bc the words would just not come. how many writing sessions w me half-sprawled on my desk, 314 measly new words on the doc, thinking "this is poop. i cant do it. it's not in the stars"? but look at it🥺

a while now. theres a lot of that in the fic in a sorta light novel-y way. i think i'd do a bit of a deeper dive if i'd written it today. emotional punches were still there, got me good, had me crying and everything, which is a good sign🤠there are so many things i love about it!!!

i wish i'd been more patient at the time and stuck around in some scenes more. it probs had smth to do w the fear of boring readers too. i was surprised to see some of the heavy subjects, which was in itself surprising bc ive been into the exploration of colonialization, religion, and the like for

anyway, some stuff drove me up a wall, like chests doing so much stuff they were pratically sidecharas at times😅 still less than what ive seen in some publishef books but no less annoying. found a couple of sentences that were brainfarts essentianlly and even w all of that and typos and such
