For those wondering about the price, $12.65 is the exact fare for a trip from OAK Airport to Montgomery station in SF. The airport stations cost more than regular commute trips. Fares between downtown SF & downtown Oakland are less than $5 each way.

I think she must be referring to the price to go to the airport, which is higher than most regular BART fares. Most actual trips between central locations in SF and Oakland cost less than $5 each way.

It still is for most trips between central areas in SF and Oakland. Depends where you’re going to and from. For example, going from 19th Street in Oakland to Civic Center in SF costs $4.25. Trips to airports cost more.

I honestly wonder whether this lawyer believes that humans who make errors should get due process before they are punished for their actions.

Notably absent from their list of commitments is any pledge to have human editors review content prior to publication.

Has anybody seen another paper that printed the same material? I can’t simply trust the source here because they have no credibility.

Pathetic non-response here.
The least you could do would be to have an actual human write a meaningful explanation and apology. But instead it’s just more AI-generated nonsense. If you took this ssprt of thing “very seriously” then it wouldn’t have happened.

Brad Lander should be getting a lot more attention in this race.

During the 2008 Dem primary one of the most salient issues for voters was the invasion of Iraq. Obama’s success was largely based on the fact that he had clearly staked out a position that was not the same as Clinton’s. Positions do matter, even if other things also matter.

Although the population of Plaquemines Parish is 68% white, three of its eight public schools are at least 69.9% Black. And one school in the district, Phoenix High, is 94% Black
Phoenix High also has dangerously high levels of lead in its water supply

🔥🔥 "you're routinely violating rights of immigrants who may not be citizens, but like it or not, they have statutory rights when residing in America. your agency acts as if laws don't matter; as if the election gave you a mandate to violate laws passed by congress. it did not give you that mandate"

Good to know that “all three have been convicted in federal court and face time in federal prison. Sentencing for the federal case was postponed until the state case reached an end. Bean and Smith were found guilty in the federal case of witness tampering and face up to 20 years in federal prison.”

Striking stat from @kellycnbc.bsky.social on this:
The rise in treasury yields since Trump’s tariffs were announced leads to an increase in US debt interest payments that is larger than all the DOGE savings.
