This is why everything is so expensive. The wheeling and dealing of the super rich. Get everyone in the saucepan of dependency then turn up the heat. Get rid of it.

I like how a lot of the green squares in London still have locked gates to keep out the riffraff

What is it with ppl saying '50/62/75/90 isn't old' it's bloody old. 50 was old when I was 20 and it's old now I'm 40. We get old. Welcome to life.

Have my sights set on a starlink mini which could be really useful for site surveys in deepest darkest wales. Conflicted.

My favourite ways of saying “I’m in a spot of bother” from ten different languages…

Having some pretty bad short term memory deterioration. It's actually scaring me a little bit. So so strange.

😴 A peaceful sleep I wish for thee Where cares and worries cease to be. The Blue Bird (1952) 🎨 Marc Chagall

Would really like a mechanical clock for the sheer genius of the invention only I hate clocks. In my mind every tick represents my remaining heartbeats, gradually running out, and every chime is an hour used ineffectually.

The fear of uncertainty and aversion to risk taking concentrated in social media is almost making me miss the Boris era. Are there any nice people who actually like taking risks every now and then?

YouTube is automatically translating 'caucasian' to 'white' so it thinks Caucasian oak is the same as white oak. Two different species.🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Really need to complete at least one report this evening. Cannot focus.

don’t travel to the US. It’s as simple as that.

Went to a mainstream supermarket (not Lidl) for first time in about 6 months. Got sidetracked by lots of goodies. Main ones being all the new vimto flavours and white chocolate digestives! Dangerous.

Now booked up for June, with the exception of one week at parents, so can stop worrying about finding work for a bit and worry about actually doing the work instead.

My first Glastonbury was around 2001. If you'd suggest then that ppl would pay 16k for a swanky tent it would have been ridiculous AND insulting to the festival spirits. Meanwhile I feel guilty for spending 1k+ on a fancy hotel. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Sleeping pattern is off and it's causing havoc. Need to be getting to sleep at 9pm again 😢

Been thinking about how to teach 6yo kindness. It doesn't come naturally to me because I never experienced much of it, and because I am so unbearably tired all of the time.

🧵I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about kindness since I've moved here to Aotearoa New Zealand and would like to share some thoughts. (Please bear with me!): 1. Kindness is learned. It's not innate. People are taught kindness by other people. We are creatures that learn by example.

Nice to know they still do this kind of thing in Bristol. Seems like a countryside amusement rather than something for a huge city.

Ngl I've watched this 100 times so far and I intend to watch it at least 100 times more #TheKiltedYogi #KateBush #FinlayWilson www.instagram.com/reel/DJwB3gT...

My delivery of chamomile, thyme and heath pearlwort for my alternative lawn experiment. Smells BEAUTIFUL! 💞

Comments are unbelievable. Guess a lot of ppl set up their own business because they don't work well as employees, but an inability to get on with ppl often means they're bad employers also.

Ok and what are you doing with your life while AI is doing all the important and enjoyable things? Crack?

This is so fucking good

I don't know if there's ever been a culture more in love with charlatans than ours. "Success" defined entirely by how good you are at tricking people into giving you money. An entire country of aspiring slop merchants

Love a bit of Victoriana. Realised that part of the appeal is probably their avoidance of WW1 and 2. Their children and grandchildren would have had an awful time of it, but world war never existed for them. Innocent in a way.

Completely losing track of days. There are parenting days and non parenting days. Nothing has any meaning beyond that.

A pigeon has brought his wife to feed in my garden. He's quite controlling I must say. Pecking her in the neck if she stops eating.

It's a good article but weird conclusion. They're obviously a menace to society with potential to inflict more harm. How long before they physically attacked someone? In a way we're lucky it was a tree and not a person.

Oh shit

No man is an island. A barren, inhospitable peninsula, cut off at high tide, is about the best you can aim for.

I'm properly sunbathing in my garden and absolutely loving it. 41 years and only just discovering this joy. This is the secret to happiness! #feelingblessed

Never been a huge fan of the national trust but their coffee is the best coffee I've had in ages
