Poor Edgar. I hope they stop soon.

I hope you made it ok?

Morning Womble. This week I read Beware the Past by Joy Ellis. Now reading The Promised Queen by Kate Johnson.

You wouldn't be bimbling here! It's a filthy morning. ☔️☔️☔️

Try to take things (a little bit!) easy.

Thank you 😁. I like to go back & read old favourites by the likes of Dorothy L Sayers, Elizabeth Peters, M M Kaye & Agatha Christie. Of course, balancing that with lots of new stuff too.

The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien (25+times!) A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (every Christmas) The Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis (first of the great Falco series). There are quite a few more.

A lot of it stems from 'money laundering' regulations. Proof of address has been a requirement for many things for over 20 years. Frustrating at times, but necessary.

The sounds of a summer day - even in the rain in Ireland! ☀️☔️🎵😁

Maybe if she reversed the letters?! 🤔🫤

I presume that's the NYT one? I got it in 5 - pure luck. It was a rather esoteric word.

I'm not mad about Limoncello anyway, and adding cream isn't going to change that. I'll stick to Baileys!

Could you sell it?

Morning Womble. This week I read More Than Just A Dog by Simon Wooler (@sociabledog.bsky.social) - a wonderful book for anyone who has or is about to have a dog in their life. Now started The Night House by Jo Nesbo.

I follow @suzannacrampton.bsky.social who has a pedigree Zwartbles flock and that's where I learned about scald. She treats it with a magic blue spray!
comment in response to post
There's always at least one with scald. Painful, but easily treated.

Well done, it looks great.

It's being a weird day here. Sunny one minute, absolutely chucking it down the next! Dublin is now under a 'thunderstorm' alert 🙄☔️⛈️ Fortunately I got the dog walk in earlier, and I'm not dealing with 'Eau de wet dog'!!

If you wrote it as a book or film script, it'd be rejected as being too ridiculous!
comment in response to post
It'd be funny if it weren't so potentially dangerous.

At least it's not too high off the ground or overlooking a village!

Looking good. I like the colour.

Hope it goes well.

Mine is my full name - including a middle initial!

It's a pain. So inconvenient, but hopefully everything is replaceable.

Did you separate out the 4 ewes that weren't in lamb? Unless you've left them as four Aunties?
comment in response to post
🤞that everything goes smoothly this time.

That's wonderful. 🥳🎉❤️ Is the new house far from where you're currently 'parked'?

I run into issues with mine if I have to sign an electronic 'pad' with a stylus, or (😬) my finger!

My handwriting improved significantly after I left school. I think part of it was having a LOT of penpals to whom I handwrote letters which had to be legible! I have a particularly 'swirly' signature.

Nothing ventured......!

Wise decision - and much faster than having to pluck & gut a couple of pigeons! 🤭

No, just no!

I live in Dublin - that's the barrier rather than my nationality. If I lived in the UK I'd absolutely sign.
comment in response to post
Any chance you bought a few books over the years 🤔?
comment in response to post
I'm not eligible to sign this - being Irish - but I wish you well.

There is nothing quite like freshly squeezed orange juice 😋🍊
comment in response to post
You mean you don't arrange your bookshelves by the colour of the book spines? 🤣🤣🤣
comment in response to post
I have no interest in F1, but Barcelona & orange juice sounds good.

Morning Womble - from a slightly blustery Dublin. This week I read One in Custody by Jane Casey (short story). Now reading Enemies At Home by Lindsey Davis - second in the Flavia Albia series.

Well I've thoroughly enjoyed this season. I thought the finale was terrific - and (no spoilers) looking forward to what comes next. Hoping of course, there will be a 'next'.

Good luck with that!
