Well, of course they're a low priority. Poor people might use them.

In full honesty, I've been saying for years that this town is a great place for a gondola from DT to Opryland area. Tourists would absolutely love it, they're super economical, safe, cheap to build, and it would be a world-class draw and talking point. Every business near Opryland would benefit.

My altercation was in the fall. So, it's been a while.

Well, depending on where you're trying to be, you may feel he got better (?)
He used to sit, in his car, in the bike lane. Until he and I had a confrontation. Stupid idiot just refuses to put a car where the cars are supposed to go!

You're a better person than me. I'd have put that shit right down the middle of the street.

I understand your hesitation, but honestly, why? You're not going to put forth any more info than they've already got, are you?

Oh, that's just dumb. Joplin switched the pronouns on Kristofferson's "Me & Bobby McGee", and it wasn't a cop-out. It was an artist making a song their own. As one does, when one sings a song written by another.

Reply appreciated, but you're *really* reaching hard to make this make sense. :-)
It does not make sense.

I'm a fan of them (safer streets and all), but can someone please explain the one on 14th between Eastland and Stratton. Sitting between 2 stop signs? What purpose could that possibly serve?

You rock. You give me ammunition to fight car brain in a very car-brained city.

I give other people the peace sign (which is where my bio pic comes from!), and judge them if they do not return it.

You are far, FAR more likely to be in an accident causing TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) for every hour you are in an automobile, than you are for every hour you are on a bike.
Ergo, if helmets reduce your chances of TBI, they would do even greater good when worn in the car.
comment in response to

Well, the reason that people will argue that helmets are ineffective, is because they provably are.
If the argument is about safety, then you should be arguing about wearing helmets in the car.

Also, your electric bikes and scooters with have speed limiters on them, and the rental versions will be even slower. The 2000lb+ vehicle that you own or rent, however, will be able to kill people at 140mph. And it will! 40,000 of them a year!!! :-)

This is a very valid question. I believe we are about to find out the upper limit as to how expensive pizza can be within our economic zone.

You pay $180/yr to subscribe to biz journals? Because I had to get the state Attorney General office involved to get them to stop charging me. I'm not exactly a super-fan of their business model.
What's the article say?

Well, that is good to know!!! Because I do it at McGavok & RIverside constantly. (You'll never get a left arrow onto McGavok on a bike.)

If street lights don't notice me (and therefore fail to cycle) because I'm on a bike, then I don't notice that light anymore. It's only fair.

Going to the Philippines for a month this year, because anything that can be done on a bike, IS done on a bike. Live cheap. Be free.

Why don't you ask one of the many, many dozens of cities in this and other countries that have implemented bus lanes? (With great success, I might add.)
