PS1 Month #13
Sometimes all you need is a decent puzzle game slathered in usual Hello Kitty cuteness.

That was my guess for that.

Half of a modern console launch nowadays is "you can pay a little more money to 'upgrade' this three year old game so you can play it on new hardware and it's slightly better!"

That's not necessarily a gotcha moment or meant to be an insult, but game consoles rely less and less on new games to attract buyers now than they used to.

A fast moving action game with varied gameplay and a cool aesthetic. Challenging at times too.

Konami made money, so now they are going to push out as many SH remakes as they can until the well runs dry.
I guess if people are excited, great. But Bloober Team did not do a particularly great job on 2 in my eyes, so I don't really care about this one at all. Pity, 1 actually NEEDS a remake.

And the mask stealing gimmick AGAIN too?
AEW repeats the same beats way too often for them to work sometimes.

Swerve v Ospreay was awesome, but god I'm sick of AEW using the time limit draw to get out of having to do clean finishes between two top guys.

MindsEye, MindJack, same fucking thing in my head I guess.

Watching gameplay of it and um...
Woof.
This reminds me of all those random action games we'd get on PS3 that were like... 60/100 but acted like they were the next big thing then bombed miserably.

I don't mean to go all "yet you participate in society, curious" on this, but fucking hell. Pick your battles. An ad read on a YT channel so people can pay their bills isn't the fucking problem, and if you think it is, no one is making you use YT.

"Capitalism Bad" is a much more complex concept than dweebs on the internet can get across and it's fucking baffling how there is this subset of people who just parrot the idea without actually having any knowledge of wtf they're talking about.

I get it, ad reads are annoying, but minging about it being the downfall of society while you line the pockets of fucking Google is bat shit insanity.

Bonus: Me playing T.R.A.G. for the first time on stream. I really need to get around to finishing it someday because it is a wild ride. www.twitch.tv/videos/92175...

Anime Resident Evil but with robots. Every second I've played was another laugh out loud moment in absurdity.

Ride is a clunky at times, but an absolute blast to play with friends. If it ever goes up on Switch Online's GC library, you have to try the City Trial mode. I mean, it was so good Sakurai put it in a Smash Bros game LOL

Lol wait, Kirby in general or Air Ride specifically? 'cause if the former, we're gonna have to have a chat...

It's one of very few that I actually agree with the "this doesn't look like a pokemon" statement.
I like the IDEA of that line, but the whole line just.... doesn't fit the art direction of pokemon at all for some reason I can't quite quantify.

A silly sheep herding game that's just enough frustrating challenge to keep you trying again.

Not a good game, but a shockingly ambitious one. The open world you can drive around in is pretty huge for a PS1 game and surprisingly detailed and varied. Worth checking out for that alone.

Looks like they're leaning more into the wild imagery from the end of the second game?

It took me a second, and then I felt stupid.
But then, I looked up answers on Quora and every single one of them was completely and utterly insanely wrong and it made me feel better about myself.

I get it, the price was a deal breaker for some, but at the end of the day if people can justify buying one at launch by enjoying it than shut the fuck up and leave them be.
