Many intelligent people issued many legitimate warnings. They were ignored. and now my American friends, far too little, much too late mid-terms. as if.

It’s Election Day, Canada. Go vote Canada Strong.

A new preprint has dropped from the lab! www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1... 🧵 Thread ahead.

"It can't happen here"? Oh yes it can, Canada. www.montrealgazette.com/news/article...

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is asking for input on what respiratory virus info is important, how you use it, and if they should keep funding wastewater monitoring. Please help let OPH know this information is important ( opinion.ottawapublichealth.ca?e=446587&d=e... ). 🧵1/

yes. perfect response. all that was required - & the Debate Commission needs to be held responsible for letting these faux-journalists take up space there (& a few other gaffs). listening to this 'question' makes my blood boil. it would be a challenge to not to react to their bullshit. kudos to JS.

holy Munchausen by proxy. love to make those kids healthy again...

yes. yes. let's have LESS government involvement, especially when it comes to health related business. 🤦‍♀️ and this what the Conservatives (federally/provincially) will continue to bring to Canada. what horrible people. #scammersoftheworstkind

Just want to add: what in the EVERLOVING FUCK is CNN doing interviewing Alexander Dugin? This is the equivalent of inviting Goebbels on for a quick hit.

Incredible. Vapid. Moronic. ‘How this happened’. Yep. Better get on that.

Holy crap. The DOJ is arguing that the President can unilaterally deport anyone he wants without ANY statutory authority, just on his inherent authority as President over national security. That is a terrifying claim to make and not one that has ever been recognized before in US history.

get the fuck outta here. no really. get. him. the. fuck. outta. here.

Ugly, ugly stuff from Mike Johnson. Mahmoud Khalil is an activist, a Columbia University graduate and a green card holder. Not a young terrorist. Not someone simply on a student via, either.

“This is going to be a massive loss of life overall,” a surgeon who formerly led USAID’s global health initiatives tells TNR. “Children are likely already dying, and will clearly be dying in large numbers.”

"Twitter was definitely cyber attacked!" says guy whose rockets and cars explode on the regular

Have been an NDP supporter. Not this time around (federally) @ndp.ca @jagmeetsingh.ca what the hell? trying out the 'bro' side of things? & call me crazy, but in these insane times, NDP would see net gains by aligning w Libs/Greens & offering us a true united front www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYqP...

Sorry @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social but wearing pink, praising Reagan, being polite isn't a winning strategy unless you want to be the #GOP-lite. Shame on you for castigating your members who have more courage than the entire Democratic leadership. 1/ www.axios.com/2025/03/06/t...

A forward-thinking approach would get rid of those blindspots by following traces of the virus and antibodies in wastewater to assess prevalence of disease and community immunity, respectively.

For those asking what advantage is there to pulling liquor from the US that is already on our shelves - liquor is NOT paid for by the LCBO until it is sold. It's consignment. The liquor will be going back, at no cost to us - but to them. #tariffs #tariffwar #ElbowsUp #TrumpTariffs

trump: we are going to conquer canada and make it a state canadian hockey fans: fine, we will boo your anthem at games media: these two actions are exactly the same level of bad

Haven’t had much of a taste for alcohol this past year. Felt different tonight.

Wild. Top is the NBC upload, bottom is the one aired as the live feed

Khloe Kardashian is smack talking LA Mayor Karen Bass over the wildfires. In 2022, Khloe used roughly 101,000 gallons of water over the allotted limit during a drought. Her sister Kim Kardashian used 232,000 gallons over the limit. IN ONE MONTH. Bish needs to sit TF down.

just spitballin' here. wonder what risk/benefit analysis would net out at if we cut amount of time Canadian spent in US before losing public healthcare (incurring 3 mth wait upon return) What if out-of-country limit =3 mth instead of 6? Collecting OAS/CPP lying in Florida chaise kinda irking me...

“I’m OK. This head’s like limestone. It’s hard as a rock.” oh my... www.thespec.com/news/ontario...

I am a proud New Democrat but there are moments when we must put country first. Trump's inauguration poses a serious threat. Canadians deserve a plan, not political brinkmanship. I will go back to Parliament to try my best. I will not vote with Pierre Poilieve as it risks advancing his toxic agenda.

CNN is hopelessly broken. 1. This "expansion" would require military invasions of several allies in violation of international law. 2. It would violate several treaties. 3. The Louisiana Purchase was the sale of land by a colonial power (France). These are sovereign nations.

“There’s a good chance that a lot of people are going to get sick in the next couple of weeks and be unaware of it. Most people are not tracking CDC data, and so their way of knowing whether we’re in a wave is if they’ve gotten sick,” www.today.com/health/coron...

Re Subject line in @npr.org Up First newsletter received by email this morning. I mean, love ya NPR, but come. on.

Dear @cnn.com Invading sovereign countries is the work of fascist leaders. Referring to such threats as "teasing" is what compliant state propaganda does. Just as Trump takes lessons from Putin you could get workshop training for your editors from Russian state media. Canada will resist.

I understand some partisans don't like when people in a party speak up. But a political party isn't a cult. If people who care greatly about the party don't speak up when things are really are off the rails, then we're doing a disservice to the country & to ourselves.
