I came here to say this. There's nothing more Christian than hating other people for believing something just very slightly, marginally, barely different than what you believe.

I think what you mean when you say that President Trump should be better is "The President should be somebody else." President Trump is who he is, everybody knows (and knew) who he is, and he is never going to change. He's an awful human being... and that's why MAGA chose him.

I think ya' kinda missed the point. The commenter probably agrees with you, too. BUT if you're a MAGA who's hiring undocumented workers, and you know it, then you're KNOWINGLY breaking the law, and you should go to jail. Yes, we should change the law, but people like this deserve to be convicted.

I think my head might explode if I experience any greater schadenfreude than this.

Now, for a limited time only (i.e., until this latest Trump venture goes bankrupt like the rest), Trump TACOs presents the amazing WAFFLE TACO! When you can't decide To TACO or Not to TACO, waffle on your TACO!

A broken clock is right twice/day. In this case, even the boneheadedly basic Joe Rogan can see the incredible obviousness of the disparity between the "crime" of immigration and the horror of family separation. Rogan is still a boneheaded asshole, but... this point is well made.

This is something I keep saying, and can’t say enough. I posted a couple of poll articles that Dems consider promising… But here’s how I see them: 43% of Americans think Trump’s Nazi-esque fascism is A-OK. 76% of Republicans think RFK Jr is doing great. Dumbf***ery is a Stage IV cancer in the US.

Well, WTF are you going to do about it? Being “offended” is pretty useless when you’re dealing with an utterly lawless administration that literally wants to put tanks in the streets.
comment in response to post
Whoopdy do. Stand wherever you want. If standing and not being silent is the best you can do, then it is no wonder that they are completely trampling the rule of law, and literally putting tanks in the streets. What ACTIONS are you going to take?

Dude, so what? Do you actually think she’s going to resign? Of course not. Blah blah blah, the other side should do this that the other, blah blah blah. Empty words.

WHAT? Somebody in the Trump regime lied? I can’t believe it.

I sure hope they do.

She should stop thinking with hers.

Sounds “on brand.”

Just don’t wear it to a protest, because the only people allowed to wear masks at a protest are the unmarked, unidentified plainclothes gestapo kidnappers.

I’m tired of hearing about “holding this fascist regime [please stop calling it an “administration”] accountable. HOW?? It’s a fascist dictatorship that ignores the law and controls all three branches of government. WTF do you plan to do? Empty platitudes.
comment in response to post
“Demand accountability.” I’m getting tired of this useless platitude. This is a *fascist regime*, and it controls all three branches of government. They think they can get away with it because *they can*. WTF is anyone going to do (legally) to hold the lawless dictatorship accountable?
comment in response to post
“Disrespectful” under this regime means you’re not fellating them hard enough.
comment in response to post
PS: stop calling it an “administration.” It is a regime.

I have great respect for you, Mr. Buttigieg, but… what is the point in a [“red line” / line in the sand] if there’s nothing you can do about it? How are you going to hold a fascist dictator “accountable”? Without a clear, executable plan (and people willing to execute it), those are empty words.

Not that he’ll probably care much, but I sent him a blistering email saying, among other things, that he is an embarrassment to the medical community, a traitor to his patients and his constituents, and a coward with blood on his hands.

This guy is definitely a competitor in a “most punchable face” contest. Gives Matt Gaetz a run for his money, and that dude is hard to beat.

It’s just liberal twitter. Being a liberal, I prefer it, but I don’t actually think there’s a lot of thoughtful discussion being shared here. I read it mostly to find out about news stories I’ve missed, which then look up at their source (and for political cartoons).

100%. We should “arrest” every ICE agent who wears a mask.

That’s a heckuva Hollywood fantasy.

Where are 2nd amendment conservatives? What’s happening now proves indisputably that it was never about protecting against a fascist regime. That regime is here now, and the gun owners are not protecting against it… They are supporting it.

I do the same, but also in reverse: I sometimes talk to my 86 yo father (retired MD), basically have a PARQ conversation with him, and ask him hypothetical questions. Then when patients ask “if this were your dad,” I can say “Well, I actually asked him myself.” It really helps the conversation.

Trump wants to sell his Tesla… the resale value of which has plummeted… due to the backlash from Elon’s relationship… with Trump. Art of the Deal? (Unfortunately, the value of almost anything skyrockets the moment it belonged to a POTUS (any POTUS), so he won’t lose on it.)

You are right, of course, and the same principle applies to way more than just CPR. I save lives all the time… but some of those people, if they could still communicate, would probably wish I hadn’t.

Yuck. The worst part of watching this administration shit all over basic human decency is realizing that about a third of the country approves. It hurts my soul to think that I could despise 100 million people, but I truly believe that anyone who supports this kind of thing is human garbage.

Neither of those dumbf***s are Jedis, they’re more like Ewoks. It is hilarious to watch them fight, though.

He’s absolutely fascinating if you don’t know anything about the topics being discussed. I agree with several other commenters here: Rogan, like Trump, is a flag bearer for meagerly educated people who don’t like feeling dumb when they listen to actual experts speak with big words.

Admittedly, if you need “incentive” to love, cherish and care for a human being, you probably shouldn’t be a parent.

I’ll be afraid of gay people or transgenders when we have the “Queer Crusades“ that tortures people into declaring homosexuality and makes being straight a crime punishable by death. Until then, religious zealots are demonstrably more threatening.
