I was intrigued by this little snippet when I was reading this week’s SMH Booklist email which was written by Jason Steger. It did make me wonder which title lost the casting vote. Couldn’t find an answer but I did find a Wikipedia goof along the way.

Rare political post for me. This fridge magnet has been on side of the fridge for years. I think that It’s Time to retire it.

New additions.

Here’s a couple of photos from the Nest Box Survey which was undertaken by the Friends of Morwell National Park last weekend. The first one shows a Sugar Glider on top of a nest box. The second is an image on the inspection camera. All inspections are videoed for double checking.

Apertochrysa edwardsi. A member of the Typical Green Lacewing family. One of the highlight’s from last Wednesday’s mothing session.

Red-lined Looper (Crypsiphona ocultaria) photographed last night on my new mothing setup (see below). With a 5cm wingspan it’s not surprising that this is an uncropped photo.

Errrr, more new additions.

Gayle Kennedy’s Me, Antman and Fleabag is an astonishing collection of short stories. Told with deceptively dry wit the stories have you laughing and then grab you by the shoulders and ask,”do you see what you’re chuckling at?”, the stories with the most impact don’t let you off with a laugh.
