Thanks, Felicity. I looked at my copy of Australian Poetry in the Twentieth Century. There are three Rosemary Dobson poems in there.

An unread poet for me. Will try to change that.

So here’s the Wikipedia goof. In the Awards and Nominations section of their page for True History of the Kelly Gang it states that it was the winner of the Age Book of the Year award in 2001. What the?

The article announcing the 2001 award winners is available online. Rosemary Dobson won the Book of the Year prize that year which makes me lament the fact that The Age no longer awards a Poetry prize. There’s a point to this digression. See below.

Sorry, forgot to reply to this. I think it was two eps cobbled together. Not really a full length album but despite that, I still love it.

For some reason I think you’ll like another song from their debut album. It’s about their favourite writer dying in a fiery car crash. youtu.be/SJDWUJ9NMjk?...

I’m quite happy with it and I plan to set it up a few more times before it gets too cold.

I’ve attended a number of mothing nights at Morwell National Park with the Friends group. After thinking about it for far too long I finally set something up at home. Last night was the first time that I used it. Full description of the setup is in the alt text.

For some unknown reason they’ve changed the synopsis on the back of We Hexed The Moon. The original one that I read was a cracker.

This was my first read. Thankful for UQP including it in their First Nations Classics.

I have two reprint Fosse’s which I paid for. Made the mistake of buying them online. Never again.

I’d grudgingly pay $17 for an original printing of The Netayahus. I’ve only ever seen the cheap arse reprint edition.

The river analogy better describes the reason why I purchase too many books in the first place. It gives me time to go back and read them.

And too tempting to resist. The cover is part of photograph taken by Ken Russell in the mid 50’s. He took a number of photographs of Teddy Girls in London at that time. www.anothermag.com/art-photogra...

I think I’m due a reread or listen. You wouldn’t be surprised to hear that I have both.
Nan Shepherd’s three fiction novels along with an older edition of The Living Mountain, different foreword, are all available in one ebook. Look for Grampians Quartet.
