And thus the borders of secession are drawn.

I'm genuinely curious as to what authority *that* would be under.

This is the second civil war. May God have mercy on us this time.

I'm reasonably certain it's under the "well make me then" clause of Article I.

ALL States should immediately activate their National Guard with in-state orders to prevent the illegal usurpation of guard troops & their unconstitutional use by the corrupt Trump regime. If we fail to stand strong NOW, the future fight to protect the U.S. will be much, much harder…if not futile.

That's a fight I wish Gavin had the cajones for.

This is the way.

We should locate the rest of them. They do have combat experience, and now a definite motivation to help.

If Newsom was any good he would use his control of the State National Guard and tell them to stand down.

National Guard is under control of the Governor, unless there is an invasion or insurrection recognized by Congress. What's Gavin saying right now?
comment in response to post
Trump may have expressed a desire, but I believe they are actually under the control of the Governor. When he weighs in we'll see which way the wind will blow.

Not already spent, but wouldn't be spent. No business would invest in a space where their work could be seized. If we needed something we would have to make it ourselves.

Next time, make sure everyone demonstrating wears a MAGA hat. That'll throw them.

Apparently actions up to and including storming a session of congress with assault rifles and improvised explosives do not constitute insurrection, so I think we're probably good here. \s

That said, Musk is a national risk and needs to be neutered.

State control of critical capabilities is a must, but commandeering private enterprise is not the way we should achieve that. It would strongly disincentivize potential investment in the area, and the government is then required to cover the lost research and development.

*Alleged* MS-13 members. Without due process they're not actually guilty of anything. Don't normalize the rhetoric.

"These are real people with real families you're hurting" EXACTLY you oblivious prick.

I love how once they decide he actually is a criminal, then they bring him *back* into the country.

As a general public wearing a mask, it's to prevent *others* from being harmed by *me*. As an ICE wearing a mask it's to prevent *me* from being harmed by *others*. Subtle difference but indicative of the psychology.

The problem with the Democratic party, is the people in it.

Oh honey, you're not pretty enough to be that dumb.

A "Hegseth", or "drippy Pete", is the term for the fitting used to connect the hose from the pumpout barge to your vessel's holding tank.

Good to see that my home is on the list. Bona fides that we are doing the right thing.

Curious who we're hoping to outspend on this one. Ronnie Raygun (& co) was able to bamboozle the Russkies into going bankrupt, but I don't think the Taco Toddler has the same chops.

Again with the negativity... do any of these people know what hope is, or only how to push "others" down?

Bring back the /s tag please. It's getting really hard to tell.

"Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make" is actually pretty on-point for their messaging.

Well he already tried plagues and a flood. Guess Trump is the next step.

Even if they lose: Amazon gets a refund. We get the shaft. And prices will not go back down.
