I still sleep on my side and still usually have cold feet.

I am finally getting around to buying somewhat grown up crockery to replace my aging rainbow set that's lasted me since whenever Evolution opened in the Galleries, probably sometime in my late 20s šŸ˜€ Hence my recent idle research that may be coming around to "bone china sounds delightfully gothic..."

I recently learned why bone china is called bone china.

About halfway between the Cottage and the Marina slipway.

I’m with you too, by the way.

I did think that they should at least have nailed a whole ring of the D tags around the pole for better structural integrity.

You can imagine how easy it is to park a cherry picker mounted on the back of an Openreach van in the exact 8-metre spot it needs to be in in *my* street šŸ˜

Apparently the D means something along the lines of Damaged/Danger/Death Will Ensue/Do Not Climb. Also, apparently they didn’t know that before coming out. Interesting choice to have your failing poles recorded in glyphs nailed to bits of wood rather than, say, a networked database.

Come to think of it, in terms of elapsed days we’re now on Day Four. I guess someone somewhere did some work on Tuesday even if I didn’t see it.

In case you were wondering, it’s now day three of the Openreach fibre install. There are men up ladders and in cherry pickers hammering and drilling. Which seems like a strange way to join fibre, but what do I know?

Back in a minute, just popping out to buy a demolition drill.

What, a drill? 🤣

I'd quite like a bunch of flowers at this point.

...and another two hours later, the valiant lad has finally won the Battle of the SDS Battery Drill and Two Chargers versus the 70cm-Thick Georgian Wall From 1763, and I have... a short run of fibre from my desk to the outside wall, not connected to anything because nobody can go up the pole. Sigh.

And of course, four and a half hours in Openreach turn up and the lad they sent apparently doesn’t have permission to go up the pole on our street so can’t do the job. Fecking fantastic.

At least you got a fork and not just a knife!

Hah! I could never. I just plain forget to do it some days.

I did that with Gaviscon the other week. I need to be more prepared for middle-age injury.

While I very much appreciate cats in general and that cat in particular, I am vaguely triggered by *anything* coming between me and Lydia Lunch 🤣
