"The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born: Now is the time of monsters.”
Whatever will eventually survive and overcome those monsters will be a glorious thing.

ah okay, if we're just talking shonen battle manga then I fully agree.
fair enough!

Would Death Note be an exception to this?
I agree with your general statement, but I feel like there have to be some other niche exceptions within shonen?
(albeit likely lesser known than my first example here)

First time hearing about @manapool.com, excited to give it a try this weekend.
Just curious about the goal of the site compared to other online marketplaces, wish the site had a little more info on the about page.

did anyone ever think the crunchyroll anime awards ever mattered?
always seemed like the most worthless thing

This is correct, but as long as it's vaguely average slop, it'll probably make a profit.

fantasy viking land, seems interesting
we'll see how it goes
Hopefully does well enough that Shueisha doesn't axe it, and that we dont have any WSJ managing editor shakeups that kill it

obviously the cruelty was always the point, never any "logic"
I get you're making a joke about the logical inconsistency, but the joke is old

If you want to go hard on voting, there are lots of fun more casual budget includes.
Grudge Keeper, Magister of Worth, Council's Judgement, Plea for Power; Illusion of Choice is one I had in the deck across power levels for a long time

I guess depends on what you consider cool?
Tivit has been a favorite card of mine since printing, and I've played versions of the deck across all power levels.
for gain/ drain off tokens, Kirkwood Bats and Nadier's Nightblade are classics
for voting, Brago' Represntative and Ballot Broker

came to this same conclusion as well
the US will no longer be a cultural center, and if your job or career is in or related to the arts/culture...
if you aren't fucked right now, you will be in the coming years

My hope for the team on the wizards ends of things is that some of these biases are taken into account
But this is a genuine worry I have, and I feel it is borne out through some of the discourse seen via social media/YouTube/etc

Simillarly, I don't think play at MagicCons or other magic focused conventions are reflective either
as again, those are going to have certain biases by virtue of the type of players willing and able to pay for and attend said event, and to chose to play commander
comment in response to
post
But I just don't know that games played mostly with other content creators, coworkers/editors, and the occasional discord/patreon member are reflective of broader casual play experiences at an LGS
comment in response to
post
when Overwatch/Overwatch 2 focused so heavily on the feedback of e-sports players, a lotnof those biases towards play experiences were reflected in changes
and I worry much the same way about Commander, I respect the opinions of many content creators out there

Helps you better understand card quality, card interactions, threat assessment.
1 vs. 1 forces you to think about every little thing and interaction, and makes you a better player.
