Today's sermon. 1 Corvid v 2. Letter to the Parkites.

Although rolling hills, peaks, lakes and downs are all stunning, there is a lot to be said for watching people walk and chat on a scrubby, baked bit of council park.

One of the bits of the park I like is this, as it genuinely feels like a simulation.

We've got Bad Echidna Taxidermy Bingo! All the ways of getting #echidnas wrong in just one specimen: ❌️ Hindfeet incorrectly twisted so they point forwards. ❌️ Legs curiously folded so its belly is on the ground. ❌️Body inflated into a rugby ball-shape. At Kelvingrove in #Glasgow (vs. a live #echidna)

Will forever maintain that Ron Mael Doing The Moves is a delight of the 21st Century.

Caught the White Garden at Sissinghurst at its most perfect this week. A heavenly tangle of pure white flowers and cool green leaves.

I am however someone who is enjoying the fact Hammersmith Apollo is air conditioned.

Now I could be a total nobber and ping my mum a photo of my mug shot from the murder mystery on Saturday, knowing she is at her birthday tea #1 arranged by The Sis.

I have been handed An Opportunity*. Oh let my heart sing with joy and cheer. *Picking up other people's half arsed attempts to disguise doing sweet F.A. as actual work.

A Nemesis has raised a report which is (indirectly) about something I do. They do not realise I am the person who reviews these. *cracks knuckles*

Took Mum's birthday bits over (89 tomorrow, well lived that woman) including a night shirt thing with ice cream printed on it.

A (work-related, remarkably) search has turned up a legal case about “a shared care order and return in relation to the parties’ golden retriever puppy”. Delighted to see the initials the judge gave the people involved… www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWF...

Quite envious of all the Dad (and Mum) brilliant introductions to stuff. Mine just let me discover stuff I liked - though biggest thing was a) took me to the library b) took me to the cinema

Meant to be going out with Mum on Friday to Town as part of her birthday - weather forecast means that won't be happening. Foiled again.

"Jack's been to The National" is a total #HMHB classic "On his phone at the lights, on his own most nights"

Definitely a "proper" edition of #DID today. Sir Alf Dubs. Sounds as though that interview could have go on for hours.
