And? I never once said they shouldn’t have done it, just that it sucks that we live in a world where the worst people are the most influential and that we don’t have to keep living this way.

Correct. That said, why let that be an excuse? We used to not be able to leave the small region we were born in, now we can climb into a tube of metal and hurl ourselves into the sky, around the globe, and back in one day. Humanity isn’t static. We can change.

There is “so much peer pressure to go with the flow for fear of retaliation”.
That’s how I ended up suicidal as a teenager, because I knew being openly queer was like signing my own social execution order, so I hid so deep in the closet that it ate me alive.

I agree, however I do just want to say that just because someone has read something they don’t necessarily believe it. I’ve read the Bible cover to cover, yet I am not Christian.
Again, not saying that he did or didn’t read it/ agree with it or whatever, just as a rule of thumb read ≠agrees with

a good distinction would be if it’s meant to be read vs preformed visually. On tv, yes they are “reading” the script but the physical performance adds so much that you wouldn’t get from just the text. It would be different to listen to a recording of someone reading out the screenplay.
