To conservative messaging in the midgame. Whatever you change the name to will again be the target, and will again lose support because of conservative fearmongering. Ignore the naming, it's a distraction. Focus on the ideas behind it! Make that your messaging!

So I get what youre saying. The countermessaging is relevant! To make an analogy, if we are taking turns in a game and we go last, sure, your idea makes sense. Change the name, people like it more, more likely to pass. But we aren't going last. There are several more turns to play. Don't capitulate

Changing names means you concede that name (and therefore the ideals you champion) is bad and are giving in to conservative framing. They will then frame whatever you call yourself next as bad. Will you change your name again? All this does is shift social values to the right over time

Lose people who you may not otherwise have reached. I think it's far more important to get new people engaged and active than appeal to an aging, out of touch group. The name doesn't matter. Get those tens of millions of disengaged Americans engaged by speaking to them and their needs.

I think a position like that looks at garnering support from the wrong perspective. There are tens of millions of Americans who don't engage in politics because they feel that no one represents them or nothing matters. Doing a name change as marketing to get support from moderate Dems is going to

I argue that nothing is fundamentally gained by dropping socialist. You could name your party "Patriot Party" and conservatives would still find brand it as the 2nd coming of Mao. They took the Affordable Care Act and called it Obamacare to make people hate it for being black

Thompson losing his man (maybe he got pushed off a little? I would need to look at the replay) and then Beasley dropping the ball on the 3 is a brutal way to end the game. Still a very good performance this season from the Pistons, I would've never guessed they'd hang with the Knicks a year ago

"No more mulligans"
Something tells me they aren't shuffling thoroughly

Look I only chose to be left handed at 2 years old because I'm maleable to social pressures, not mailable. I don't have enough money to buy stamps!

I... Samuel L. Jackson was dressed as Uncle Sam. He called Kendrick's music too loud, too reckless, too ghetto. How is that not overtly political?

The only way this trade makes remotely enough sense is if the mavs are scouting several legit generational talents they think are all better than luka right?

he has been propagandized into believing that "sending them back to where they come from" reduces the most harm.

I might be giving people too much benefit of the doubt, but I think that a large majority of people (not politicians/wealthy) do believe in that, they just disagree on what the harm is, mostly due to propaganda. I don't think Joe Shmo hates immigrants because he wants the world to be worse, I think
