I’ve seen the Spock gets emotional scene but I’ll have a hunt around YouTube for the rest.

I couldn't say with any certainty that I've actually seen the longer version. I watched the theatre release version at the weekend and have the directors remastered from 2022 which I'm guessing also includes the longer version elements?

I've just started reading the Art Of book which I managed to pick up in a charity shop for 50p!

Yeah it started as Star Trek Phase 2 for TV but of course StarWars happened and they quickly decided they want their own sci-fi film. Still we got NextGen out of it and basically the entire Trek franchise.

Awesome.

Yeah for me it is my favourite Trek film, it has the qualities of the original series but just bigger and fantastic looking. Oddly as a kid I thought it was boring but over the years it is now my favourite.

The music gets me most times. Getting all emotional at model of the Enterprise 😉

You need to get to Northern Ireland for a visit.

Oh thanks Goran, I was and still am a little disappointed in it but then I guess that is par for the course when you've created it. After watching it this weekend I have about four more paintings I'd love to do for the film.

I watched the first episode and haven’t been back yet. Probably more to do with me not being in the right mind to watch it but it felt purposefully boring.

Oh no, I hope it has all cleared out and the damage is manageable? Take care.

There is no escape unless you just switch it all off but of course burying our heads is not going to help. I guess when our lives get worse and potentially we start dying I’m going to want to know why.

I hope so too, just keep looking and posting your work. Quality will win out.

I’m sorry you are struggling to find work right now, hang in there, it’ll come.

That’s great, many congratulations to her, she will hopefully love it here. Glasgow is a great uni and a good location to go and look around the rest of Scotland.

Thanks Nick, that's a good seal of approval (or some better seal based pun).
