Thank you. The fact she has got away with this for so long has done nothing to help my blood pressure, so this is excellent news.

If she is a wrecking ball, then I hope she does a good job of destroying Reform. She's certainly off to a good start.

I really hope you are right, but suspect they will not be deterred just yet. Got back from a holiday a few days ago, and am already irritated by the likes of Mason damning the Government with faint praise, and Farage receiving far more airtime than he warrants.

Shows what happens when Trump chooses nodding dogs. Maybe there's something in getting the best person for the job after all.

It's a shame that returning water to public ownership seems to be off the table, at least for the time being, but at least this shows the companies that it's not an automatic gravy train.

Morning Stuzi. Just returned from a very relaxing holiday to Cabo Verde.

He made a pact with the Devil to improve his career, and one of the terms was that he must never utter those words in public.

Must have had his fingers crossed behind his back when he gave that speech! Old Tory, new Tory, their morals seem to be the same.

According to a comment elsewhere, the plane has been in San Antonio for several weeks awaiting refurbishment. Sorry Mr Paul, I reckon it's a done deal! What other grifts has Trump got stashed around? Compliments on a very nice Beatles tweak.

Thank you for this. I was travelling yesterday so only got to hear the media output. Interesting what you can do with a few words taken out of context.

Totally agree, but I suppose it's a by product of freedom of speech that we get pompous, self righteous twats like him as well as the decent ones.

What will make it even weirder is the tournament is being shared with Mexico and Canada.

There were too many gullible people back in 2016, but I genuinely don't believe Reform can get over 300 MPs based on their current (lack of) policies. However, the main parties must stop trying to be nastier than Reform, and the media needs to stop its love-in with Farage.

Greetings, Stuzi. Still having to be careful with this hip, as wife and I have a holiday to Cape Verde at the end of next week and I need to put up with a 6 hour flight. A physiotherapist is having a field day with me at the moment!

One of those voters was on the local news last week, saying that Reform "will sort this country out". Didn't expand on it, but I can probably guess what he meant and it wouldn't be pleasant. What saddens me at the moment is, 80 years on from VE Day, we have the likes of Farage still strutting round.

Spot on. He's one of the new intake of MPs, and I hope he is just trying to be a bit edgy. However, if these are his genuine beliefs I think he is in the wrong Party, no matter how broad a church Labour might encompass.

I try not to wish too much ill on people, but there are exceptions and this is one of them.

Totally agree. Behind the false bonhomie this man is evil.

Morning Stuzi. Recovering from a badly sprained hip at the moment, so am spending a lot of time offline.

I still remember her dire performance on HIGNFY a few months ago when Ian Hislop absolutely shredded her. I wish I was surprised at her win, but Lincolnshire was a staunch Leave area and nothing has really changed.

Sharing out the funding clearly smacks too much of dreaded left wing commies. If this attitude continues I can see blue states like California giving serious consideration to going it alone.

A good article that again demonstrates the foolishness of Labour's self imposed red lines. The US cannot be a reliable ally while Trump is in office.

Just think how bad Reform would be if it didn't have the world's best ever vetting process! The sooner people see through Reform the better.

I wish they had lost faith in him prior to 5th November. He lives and Pope Francis dies, which seems to be the wrong order of priority.

Wish I was surprised by that headline, but I'm not. At a time when people really need some objective reporting we are landed with a rag like The Mail.

Most of these sound like rejected Christmas cracker jokes.

Indeed he was!

David I would love to see that series and wish all this was just fiction, as the people of America, and elsewhere, would be a lot happier. What worries me is that it's like watching WarGames, but without the responsible adults being there to avert disaster.

And don't forget, Trump knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Two old megalomaniacs - why am I not surprised?

If the purchase is for Freya it can never be foolish, but go for a walk anyway! My dog walking is on hold at present, as I really ricked my back a week ago and my fastest speed at the moment is a slow hobble.

Vance suggests that we are losing our freedom of speech, but back home this seems to be straight out of Putin's playbook.
comment in response to post
Thankfully I'm not involved, but I would be tempted to tell Vance exactly what he can do with a trade deal. I've heard rumours there is a better and more reliable market just across the Channel from us.

A wee bit of artistic licence, but that's probably the nearest Farage has got to telling the truth for a long time.
comment in response to post
Sounds like a US variation on the extremely miniscule electoral fraud here, that was then used to justify voter ID requirements very much biased against those pesky people less likely to vote Tory.
comment in response to post
That's a good proverb.Just a shame that so many people around the world choose to ignore it.

This is the sort of image that will echo down the ages, and not for a good reason.

An absolutely horrendous act. The fact it may well grow back is down to pure luck.

Does the stupid woman not know that those MAGA caps are made in China!?
comment in response to post
Thanks. My fault for getting to the first "sponsored articles" part of the page and assuming the article had finished, when there was actually more to read. I would have shouted at myself if I'd been so sloppy in my working days.

The comments by the spokesperson implies the fines will apply to illegal migrants, which is still bad enough, but I wouldn't put it past this lot to extend it to others. As you say, it's extortion.

We've talked about Truss in the past and at the moment my sympathy setting is turned off, but she really does need to stay out of the spotlight. However, someone (Steve Bannon?) has done this to her and they must be made to answer for it at some point.
comment in response to post
And, to literally top it off, their stupid caps are made in the hated China. Well done, MAGAs!

A nice bit of inside dealing always offers the opportunity for some extra wealth! There's been corruption in politics throughout history, but that last load of Tories managed to take it to a whole new level.
