This "we will not obey in advance" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard? Are you saying that no matter what happens, you are against it? Because a politician told you that's what you should do. It's a lazy stupid person who subcontracts morality to a third party.

No, We need people to stop looking at things as left, right or blue, and red.. very few of these politicians are on "your side" look at the issues and decide if it's the right course of action, they let your representative know! If it's a bad idea, it's a bad idea despite what side brings it up!
comment in response to post
Blindly believing everything politicians tell you because they are on "your side" is BS.

No it's not BS..

A stand alone bill for child cancer research funding passed the Republican controlled House in March and got held up in the Democrat controlled Senate. Democrats blocked funding for child cancer research.

The American Relief Act of 2025 includes several provisions for telehealth flexibilities, extended until March 31, 2025. Looks it up!

2020-2021: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the national debt rose sharply due to extensive relief measures. In 2021, the debt increased by approximately $2.48 trillion, marking the largest annual increase observed.

The Give Kids a Chance Act is a standalone bill with specific amendments to existing laws, whereas the stopgap spending bill addresses a broader range of funding and policy issues, including some aspects related to pediatric cancer research.
comment in response to post
In the context of the stopgap spending bill designed to fund federal agencies through March 14, 2025, there is no explicit mention of the Give Kids a Chance Act. However, the stopgap bill does include provisions related to pediatric cancer research.
comment in response to post
They can pass this in a stand-alone bill. There is no need to lump everything together.

I couldn't find any cancer funds in the old bill? A directive to include children in current drug research is all I see. Where are you finding this??
comment in response to post
The stopgap spending bill directs pharmaceutical companies to incorporate pediatric studies during drug development, aiming to boost treatment options for children with cancer. The only mention of 190 million is for drone research.. What bill are you reading?
comment in response to post
I couldn't find a child cancer research center in the old "CR" bill. Can you point me to it?
comment in response to post
I couldn't find anything about congressional raises or health coverage in this bill.

Just point ChatGPT to the bill and have it parse the spending. You don't have to read the thing to see it's wasteful, or just bury your head in the sand and let other people make your mind up for you.
comment in response to post
This wasteful bill got pulled. When was the last time social media actually had an effect on government in real time?
comment in response to post
These bills should be scrutinized by every American before they are brought to vote. No one should trust the government so much that you don't care what they pass.

Ahhh.. the old using a few good things to guilt people into irresponsible spending. Of course, I have no problem with disaster aid. They have had plenty of time to pass FEMA disaster aid, which can be an individual bill. Big pay raises and blanket exemption from investigations are a problem.

Looks like MAGA is voting this down. Thanks to Vivek posting about the health care, pay raise, and other waste in the bill on X. DOGE is going to be fabulous!!
comment in response to post
Hey kids, we just passed a bill packed with billions of dollars of waste and excluded us from any investigations.. but here's that video game you wanted.

What's wrong with Herschel? Just don't like him because Trump picked him?
comment in response to post
Passing omnibus bills with billions of waste spending is also expensive.. I guess pick your poison...
comment in response to post
So, pass a bill with billions of dollars of waste spending?? I'm sure your grandparents will still have Christmas
comment in response to post
By voting no on this bloated omnibus bill?? This won't hardly shut down the government.. would you rather pass a spending bill with billions of dollars in pure waste?
comment in response to post
Most of the GOP has already signed on to vote no on this omnibus bill. It is full of redicolous spending above what is needed to fund the government. I don't think MAGA wants help passing a bill. Both sides of the aisle should be voting no. Don't worry, the government won't ahit down that easy.
