The post should have been made BEFORE the change or left to a vote. It was thrown in last second and has caused nothing but in-fighting and problems again all because someone on staff complained about the gender dropdown list.
Gender dropdown should have been updated for new or custom genders.

Really, this seems like another change that only exists because someone on staff had issue with it rather than the community at large. Adding custom tags to 15 MILLION results is bound to stir up the pot and for people unaware of the change it's going to be harder for them to find the right content.
