The lawyer and family of Anthony, the photographer who was arrested by LAPD while covering an ICE operation where a tamal vendor was being detained held a press conference this morning in his support. 🎥 Noe Adame

These people are absolutely fucking deranged. Article is from April but a comment on deporting perfectly healthy young families when we are, apparently, in a birth rate and population crisis. Can’t quite put my finger on why immigrants aren’t part of the solution. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/21/u...

It’s ratfucking season

Trying to imagine the right-wing conniption fit that would ensue if a Democratic admin government agent was cruising around with a "Fuck Republicans" sticker on their work vehicle. (Image is a closeup of an ICE roundup at an LA Home Depot, source: www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles...)

There is a town in north Ontario

This is discrimination based on sex, pure and simple. I’m so fucking angry.

Not Ted Cruz asking people to watch a long-form video to get more context because the gotcha soundbite is misleading.

Nailed it.

Gavin Newsom vetoed a data broker privacy bill that our legislature passed last year that would have allowed Californians to opt out of all data brokers with a single click.

Not that this didn't have my attention due to, you know, the POLITICAL ASSASSINATION part, but the whole concept of data brokers being allowed to aggregate and sell off people's private data really makes my blood boil.

Ay yo-yo yo-yo yo what time is it? SHO TIME! #LAdodgers

It is edifying to remind oneself just how violent January 6 was, particularly in comparison to NoKings protests including in LA.

The radicalization of the American right is THE story of US politics over the last four decades and political reporters are still not allowed to talk about it

@cd4losangeles.bsky.social as a constituent, I’d like to hear what you have to say about how the LAPD comported themselves during Saturday’s non-violent protests. Will you be taking action?

We really need to document the events precipitating police violence. The narrative that protestors are provoking it and "rioting" is very well countered by examples like these: www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles...

We should make June 14th No Kings Day permanently.

What LA/CA politicians personally attended protests today?

Congratulations to the organizers and the organizational coalition behind the #NoKings protests today. An unqualified success in turnout, messaging, and keeping things non-violent - when’s the next one? @indivisible.org @aclu.org

Sad this post from the Nixon era is still relevant, but the work of defending a democracy is never done.

I'm looking forward to lots of photos of joyful, defiant, and -- if necessary -- resistant protest tomorrow. One thing I hope not to see is folks amplifying the Trump parade of shame. If you do see posts, please don't amplify them. Let them fall into the oubliette where they belong. #NoKings

They're handcuffing the senators for speaking up a press conference. Impeach, now or never.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

@cnn.com you damn well better have it on camera to substantiate it if you're reporting that protesters are firing this kind of weapon at police. I look forward to seeing this on film, or your correction and apology.

What an absolute fucking joke.
