It's not clear why Congress exists anymore if the president is exempting himself from federal law and they won't do anything about it. Why are they even showing up to work

I don't think it was a critique of zoning, i think it was normalising the idea of living an unreasonable distance from amenities. And yet they still called it a 'corner shop'

One line from my training that sticks hard "An average 5-year-old child in the bottom 10% for attainment goals but top 10% for wealth will overtake a child in the top 10% for attainment but bottom 10% for wealth by age 14" Wealth is so unequal in the UK, and the power behind it is so significant

CYBERPUNK MEDIA: the CEOs can just wave their hands and all of the world's ICBMs will be launched at los angeles CYBERPUNK REAL LIFE: the CEOs enable a resurgence of HIV because the amount of debt held by the US government is in proportion to how often their kids don't talk to them anymore

“Defund the police” now looking like a disastrously missed opportunity to demilitarise, disempower and remove the impunity of several agencies that have - entirely foreseeably - been made the storm troopers of the fash crackdown, isn’t it.
