Skippers on one of the few rising, I heard on a podcast. Makes me wonder if one of their main predators is down or if they can make use of non-native grasses or.... Best guess?

Truth! If the leaves of my native plants aren't being eaten, I won't what I've done wrong.

Third spring, so I'll hold happy thoughts for you.
The Haven is a reclaimed urbany-lot, so everything is planted as small whips since I cannot dig a big hole (and can only dig small ones with a rock pick). All that seems hopeful, to me, of your plants blooming this year. π€

As a fellow orchid, I sympathize. The joke in our house is look for the fine print that says "rare side effects" because that's what gonna happen with me. π
Sorry your face looks like three days on a mountain top slathered in baby oil. Does it hurt?

Noticed that in St Louis, too. Suddenly all over. π

Apparently some do and some don't. (Who knew?)

Agreed!
Planting 60 more native shrubs and trees this month. I'm rehabbing 1/2 acre that was covered in invasive bush honeysuckle. "Bush" isn't exactly the word--see attached pic. About 80% clear now. Just pulled another 100 small seedlings.

What's your thought about length and frequency of HIIT workouts, say for a post-meno female? #AskingForAFriend π

No tail? How interesting. Adaptively, what would be the advantage? Were biting, flying things less of a threat "back in the day"?

Yes!
For me, spring transplant season here in St Louis is from March 1-April 15. This gives the roots at last a minute to establish before the serious heat starts. My fav transplant season is, of course, fall/winter.
How about in North Texas?

Hi Valarie -- it was rejuvenating. Being outside is my church and my solace. Healing land overrun with botanical bullies gives me hope and pride. Watching nature return to this land? Bliss.
Your profile says fitness enthusiast. Me, too. I'm Pilates, HIIT, Isometrics, Walking. You?

Here's a question for the experts: Is it true that what really um...bugs...the massive moose are lots of mosquitoes biting them everywhere at once?

Yup. We run this economy with our wallets and I ain't running today.
Going forward, I'm slowing my spending and buying from small business whenever possible.
I am fortunate to have enough things and will make due with them until further notice. #ByeBuy
