Thousands of people SHOWED UP in WATSONVILLE CA, heavily immigrant farm community.
But the image I'll remember is of a guy in a car, windows rolled up, bandana covering his face, looking like he just left the fields after a day at work, motioning 🙏through the window to the crowds on the street.

I'm no good at posting photos, but I loved this one. Huntington, WV held our own, my guess is about 500 enthusiastic folks, and a lot of honking support. And a whole bunch of grandmas and grandpas, too.
It was a good day for America; a beginning, though, and not an end.

We were in a more red area of Marietta and the response from drivers surprised us. It was overwhelmingly positive! It was AMAZING. Thousands of people lined the streets as far as the eye could see.

Look, I'm pissed, too, but this doesn't equate to Hitler's youth -yet. This kind of hyperbole doesn't do the cause our side any good; it's the kind of vitriol that caused protesters to spit on soldiers returning from Vietnam, and got Nixon elected. A black eye we still wear.
