He is a writer who has proven to be very prophetic and that would upset him deeply if he were alive today.
Blade Runner, Total Recall, Man in the High Castle, Scanner Darkly, bits and pieces of Terminator, etc.

The Knight Rider lore of Wilton Knight doing a Robocop on Michael so he can become his replacement son is some dark stuff.

Where is my Trapper John, MD reboot?

Don’t forget that it is a worse experience than what it was meant to replace. Random ad locations? Same ad four times in a row? Completely different volume levels? Wildly inappropriate ads? Thank you sir may I have another?!

This why you wrap up a story at the end of a season.

Would that happen? That would be admitting that the real value of the company was HBO, not the sea of mediocrity that is Discovery.

A bottle episode where Vader is stuck in an elevator with a precocious kid who keeps telling him that his outfit is cringe might be what we all need.

There is noise that Expedition 33 (new company, team of 30, lots of former Ubisoft people) will change the video game industry. Let’s hope so.

Not to spoil A Scanner Darkly, but A Scanner Darkly is a book by Philip K. Dick that might be topical.

Does anyone share their tv show distribution strategies with you? A lot more shows are coming out weekly but it’s notable that Kevin Bacon’s Bondsman show got dumped all at the same time.

I am agreeing that they are not superstars but they were given many movies and franchises and they were promoted as themselves, not as the actors from Marvel or Star Trek or Guardians. People don’t want it

I don’t know why movie stars don’t break through in the same way they used to but this is probably not why. A lot of effort went into making the gaggle of actors named Chris into superstars and people just didn’t care.

When it comes to public tv, I want to hear more people talk about return on investment. Public TV has been R&D for for-profit tv forever. DIY shows, historical docs, cooking shows, etc, all tested and proved on public tv first.

It’s strange that Philip K. Dick wrote many books warning about what indentured life would be like on another planet, yet here we are.
