We love freedom and equality more than the romanticised version of russia ever has. The fact that we still exist is the best proof. Our socialist and democratic thinkers and activists were being erased from history by ruthless soviet propaganda. And you bought it.
We can teach and inspire you.

Listen to the Eastern and Central Europeans on russia. Stop westsplaining it to us, stop talking over our heads while romanticising anything that 'russian opposition' tells you.
Especially the Western left-wingers and 'progressives'...

After the Olympics in russia while they were occupying Ukraine - why do you still think that the sport business cares?

The same people who were saying you can't afford umanitarian aid or to support people you disarmed and promised to protect will not see any problem with these expenses.

Because of old age.
Of the Air Force One.

You would love learning about Poland. Over 1000 years of being exploited as slaves (alongside other Slavic nations), over 1000 years of resistance, facing psychopathic neighghbours, trying to build alliances and thriving despite everything. Try Norman Davis ‘God's Playground' or 'Heart of Europe'.

So many comments, obscure tricks, even advice to get the paid version and nobody mentioned the most obvious solution. Americans really are the perfect consumers.

So grateful to these protestors!

When will food businesses owners start to demand safe cycling infrastructure for their delivery people?
All we hear from them is demands for parking for customers...

Yeah, learn from russians.
They are so wise and live by the wisdom of this 'proverb'.

Dear lord, what is wrong with all the people here who needed to be told it was a funny meme (ergo photoshopped) and not a reportage???

Why people who decided to not have 2 living rooms but being able to use PT have to subsidise parking for 'tourists' from places that have nowhere to go to?

And why is it living in an oversized house and being car dependent the aspiration that people are rewarded for, while people who decide to buy apartments, especially those in older buildings, are on their own to bring them up to current energy efficiency or just livability standards?
comment in response to

I would love to see 3-4 bedroom apartments with layouts for families and for a family price. How come it's more profitable to build standalone houses that are 3-4 times bigger than an average apartment in a new estate with no amenities than family-sized apartments in established suburbs?

That's also why I stopped going to yoga (and I was going at a gym, not a crystal/incense cozy studio) - 2 times a week in a room full of people, and after years of coming to the same gym, nobody knew anybody's name.

Nope. It was my nice way of saying that despite claiming you have read some you still haven't come across the basics that, for example I remember from my primary school civics classes.
Good luck!
Ah, and try to be less condescending and conspiratorial if you want to have a good faith conversation.

Yeh, I commented on that in my first post you replied to.
Happy to repeat: all religions should be kept separate from the law. No modern country should subject its citizens to a single religious philosophy.
The ones that scream the loudest against one religion are often fundamentalists themselves.
comment in response to

Maybe they don’t know the details but I think the majority of people knows that it’s a religion based legal system while we decided to have the separation of the church and state. That's no secret and fundamentally opposed to the western democratic tradition.

In my city, the most aggressive (and sadly effective) against the bike lanes are the restaurant owners lobby. None of them are against bike deliveries.

I don’t need to imagine. My country, and all the countries that neighbour it, were given to USSR on a silver plate because the US wasn’t interested in saving us.
WWII ended for us only in 1992.

Remember when russia shot down an airplane with about 100 HIV researchers on board heading for a conference in Melbourne?
They faced 0 consequences.
USA will be quickly forgiven too.

It’s worth mentioning that people who claim to protect from sharia laws being imposed on you are implementing similar rules just under a different name.

Why not though? I remember from my school days- thou shall not kill- about being kind to animals and try to be healthy and not damage other people’s health (anti modern slavery). The 10th commandment also deserves more mention and explanation. And for older kids- show them Kieślowski’s ‘Dekalog’.
