Of course: my gym has a scanner. It measures the composition of the body, muscle, fat, water, etc. it also measures flexibility and joint movement. Some gyms have them now (my old one did, too).

Itโs the same in the UK. Go to most town centres at the weekend and itโs filled with folk wearing sweatpants and sports kit (ironically usually very overweight and not healthy). It worries me how gormless people seem, like zombies. Some of it is due to life, much is due to personal attitude.

Wow, what a fantastic spot to live. So much on your doorstep. Do you miss it? (apart from the flasher!)

Perfect. I am looking at taking up Tai Chi, too, for the reasons you offer and the benefits it brings. Definitely recommend anything like this, Nigel.

I completely disagree with this, respectfully. Getting fit and healthy can be done without the gym. Start with walks in nature, do yoga, Pilates. Start running, cycling. In fact, most fitness is available outside of the noisy environment. So, not liking loud places is absolutely no barrier at all.

We can all start! At any level. Starting is the the hard bit, but we can all make a first step. Once you start, just keep going! You got this! ๐

And to think, this is not even day 200. There are at least another 3.5yrs to come. It feels like an eternity already.

I hope I make it there, too. I live in Hampshire in the UK now (moved from Cornwall last year) and so I have to go to New Hampshire, but wonโt go back to the US until Trumpโs gone. Thatโs a big move to go from east coast to Texas! Hope you all have a wonderful time visiting family. Precious times. ๐

Are you on vacation, Katira, or do you live in New England? New England in the autumn/fall is on my bucket list. ๐

Oh, I love the wooden facades of these houses and the covered porch areas. Iโd love a porch, where I could sit and read, even on wet days, and feel the breeze as I enjoy my book. Heaven. Thank you for sharing these. ๐

Just along the coast is Porthkidney (Lelant beach) That is dog friendly all day and all year round. Worth a visit. Just as beautiful as Porthminster (maybe more so)

There is a risk that this local escalation will be the spark that causes countrywide rebellion and the equivalence of a modern day civil war.
