Thank you! Bakugan is an interesting comparison, but I can definitely see it. It's definitely got aesthetics I really like. :)

Standalone. It works surprisingly well.

I would have loved to use an actual VHS, but the equipment to do all that isn't super available for me. I used the software NTSC-RS to make the VHS effects and rendered a second pass of those frames with the effects dialed up and spliced them into the clip. The rest was made in Krita and Blender.

Thank you! I love giving characters cool armor XD

Happy birthday, Bus!

I did make 3D mannequins for them in Blender to reference. It definitely helps with making more dynamic posing. Guerra's armor especially has a lot of shapes I would be so frustrated with trying to figure out from different angles.

Definitely going to do some shading next. The render will be a lot of help with referencing the shadows.

That's the thing that gets me. Some people don't tag their stuff properly and it's surprising seeing what can slip through the cracks of BlueSky's moderation. Like I get that some people are into stuff and no knock against them, but also the tags exist specifically for this reason.

I've done a couple pieces of @iwasonthelastbus.bsky.social's OCs: Williant, Russ, and Waxer. Had a lot of fun drawing his Dragul characters!

Also, here's my Secret Santa gift, for @iwasonthelastbus.bsky.social, featuring the brothers Russ and Wackey!

This fellow looks really cool! Definitely captures the Eastern dragon look incredibly.

Not exactly the route I'm going, but that is a really good concept. Teaching the future generations how to keep up the fight so that the corrupt influence doesn't get to rest.

It's like if he changes one thing, it breaks things later on down the line that he has to then try to fix. It just never ends, and he has these angry pearl-clutching aristocrats adding to the conflict, and other things.

It doesn't help that the protagonist is very clueless (at first) about how things work. While he has the benefit of being from the top (he's a prince), he has to navigate how to fix one thing without accidentally making more problems. It's surprisingly much harder than he thinks.

It helps to really balance the tone between hope and crushing reality and come out with a small victory at every corner, almost a bridge between actual cyberpunk and post-cyberpunk. I almost never see that space in between the two depicted so I think there's a good story there.

I definitely want to have somewhat of a more hopeful tone to it in the sense that the overarching plot deals with a movement to improve things and break the cycle, but it's made very clear that while not impossible, it is HARD. There's a lot of frustration and struggle that go into the process.

I've had a cyberpunk story in the works for over a decade and what started out as "Heheh, cool aesthetic" has evolved to increasingly scathing looks at how greed and ego can ruin a society from the top down, while also indulging in fun sci-fi stuff.

I would so buy those.

Dang, she's really good at it too! Wonderful work here, Bus!

Thank you! I've gone through so many design iterations. I'm so happy to finally settle on something!
