Honestly, I really think it depends pretty much entirely on how/when you learned it. 30°C I "know" it's too hot out, but I genuinely have no reference when you say your temp in °F because I never learned it at all. Weather forecasts have been °C as long as I remember here.

Technically, technically, there's no such thing as seagulls. There are different types of gull (herring, black-backed etc), but not a sea-gull. (Pedantry courtesy mam...)
