I told that to a republican earlier today after he was spouting propaganda talking points he learned from faux news.
They ARE on the wrong side of history, and we won't forget it.

He's trying to stay relevant... Yet, history will remember him as a complete and utter dipshit fraud.

I don't like the fact that he's about to have a "military parade" in the wake of all this chaos with a train load full of tanks, weapons, and military personnel all headed to DC. The timing is suspicious and increasingly worrisome.

I'm hoping and eagerly waiting for Greta Thunberg and the rest of the Freedom Flotilla crew to be released and returned safely.

I might be a socialist, and I might hate that democrats were funding Isreal to bomb Gaza and shoot kids in the face, but I knew Trump would be wayyyy worse, so I voted for Kamala.
That may be somewhat controversial to my peers, but honestly, I don't care. I feel I tried to do the right thing.

It's not "pretty bad." It's standing in solidarity with the people you are persecuting and dehumanizing.
What ICE and the regime are doing is "pretty bad..."

Exactly, that's what's fascists do. They create scenarios that provide a permission structure to enact their most heinous actions.

Either you knew, or you didn't know, and voted uninformed, both are equally bad. You put people's lives in danger due to willful ignorance.

I have no counter-argument to this. Its correct. But I do feel we need to have these conversations, though, to try to understand the moral dilemma we find ourselves in, and I appreciate your responses.
Its impossible to respect the humanity of everyone, when some are genuinely fucking evil.

I do think anyone who is actively a fascist should be shot, jailed whatever, and I have no compassion for someone once they become a fascist, but what led them to become a fascist? That's where we need to put our attention to prevent these kinds of ideologies from spreading.
comment in response to

They don't if they support fascism, sure, but to say all lives but not the fascists that defeat the point. We want an all-inclusive world. The fascists are trying to destroy that idea.
And I can argue it's not the people. It's the ideology.

Iran needs to enrich uranium for energy, but if the deal was to prevent Iran from enrichment, then of course, they would reject it. The problem is, this gives the neocons and Isreal a reason to go to war with Iran, and no one wants that, other than zionists and war hawks on both sides of the aisle.

Musk (the richest man in the world) has singlehandedly overseen the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of the poorest people, and for what? Clout? Respect? No matter the reason, he will go down in history as one of the most despicable people to have ever lived. (2

Yea, these people are truly living their sci-fi dystopian fever dream. I guess when you have an unlimited amount of funds, you feel akin to Sauron trying to conquer Middle-Earth.
